Renesola - want to see huge growth ? Look no further !! (SOLA)

whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 13:28

Read the latest interims.......just make sure that you are sitting down.

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=SOLA&S

cynic - 05 Oct 2009 10:15 - 2974 of 3050

certainly has some logic ..... do you have L2, as that way you can set an entry price very easily and also edit same as you wish?

HARRYCAT - 05 Oct 2009 10:46 - 2975 of 3050

No. But can set a limit buy on the system with Selftrade. Just a matter of picking a realistic buy price. Not very scientific but all I have to work with atm.

dealerdear - 16 Oct 2009 15:35 - 2976 of 3050

Anybody any idea why the sola stocks (SOLA; PVCS) have not taken part in the rally at all and don't look as though they are going to move?

halifax - 16 Oct 2009 15:50 - 2977 of 3050

Demand falling away due to the crunch, people realise solar and other so called alternative energy sources are very expensive unless subsidised by governments (taxpayers).

dealerdear - 16 Oct 2009 15:54 - 2978 of 3050

Thanks. Seems like a good theory. Did you eventually buy?

halifax - 16 Oct 2009 16:00 - 2979 of 3050

Waiting ... watching PVCS nearer to home and has a known track record.

HARRYCAT - 26 Oct 2009 07:39 - 2980 of 3050

Business Financial Newswire
"Panmure Gordon initiates coverage on the two UK-listed silicon wafer producers, urging investors to buy ReneSola (TP 235p) and sell PV Crystalox Solar (TP 60p).

The broker says industry revenue growth is set to return in 2010 but a core focus on cost reduction will be essential, as will greater geographic diversification to offset country specific risks to feed-in-tariffs.

Vertical integration should enable both, while China is the key market for cost reduction. All this favours ReneSola, especially after its acquisitions."

dealerdear - 28 Oct 2009 14:27 - 2981 of 3050

Soon be at 1p.

May be a buy then!

HARRYCAT - 16 Nov 2009 13:52 - 2982 of 3050

Business Financial Newswire
"Chinese solar manufacturer ReneSola reported third-quarter revenue ahead of forecast, rising 70.6% from Q2 to $140.9m.

Solar product shipments totalled a record 146.9 megawatts, an increase of 71% from Q2.

The company completed integration of Wuxi Jiacheng Solar Energy Technology following its acquisition in May. Approximately 11 MW of modules were shipped in Q3 with a gross profit margin of over 20%.

Loss for the period was $11.5m, compared to a loss of $2.9m for Q2 2009 and profit before tax of $37.9m for Q3 2008.

The company said increased expenses were partly attributable to the integration of JC Solar.

CFO Charles Bai said, 'We were pleased to see strong improvements in revenues and shipment volumes during the third quarter as we continue to witness strong customer demand and continue to gain market share globally.

'We are one quarter away from completely working through our high cost inventories. As such, we expect substantial margin improvements and a return to profitability in Q1 2010. "

HARRYCAT - 03 Dec 2009 10:31 - 2983 of 3050

Business Financial Newswire
"Panmure Gordon understands that Chinese and Japanese OEMs are successfully implementing panel price increases of up to 10-15% for H1 2010 due to strong demand in Germany and Italy.

'If this occurs across the board, it could prove positive for solar stocks.'

Reiterates buy and 235p target on ReneSola, which it says should be most sensitive to any pricing upside. 'For PVCS this may alleviate pressure and we upgrade to hold from sell, after a 21% decline over the last six weeks.' "

dealerdear - 03 Dec 2009 11:45 - 2984 of 3050

I don't think it will be this side of Xmas though. Most hedge funds and the like have already packed-up and gone home for Xmas.

HARRYCAT - 08 Dec 2009 08:42 - 2985 of 3050

On the move. 150p next stop???

dealerdear - 08 Dec 2009 09:12 - 2986 of 3050

Unlikely unless the MM's open it at that level in the next few days which is possible.

There just isn't the volume to push it higher which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because everybody takes their profit immediately no matter how small which is why after the initial surge it has now dropped back to 132p.

I nearly bought in at 115p but would certainly have banked my profit by now. Tis a real problem in the market at the moment and will continue to be so until conditions change. Then I would expect this to rocket.

HARRYCAT - 17 Dec 2009 08:29 - 2987 of 3050

Tiny volume but back up to the 148/155 level, on the back of a 8.8% bounce in the U.S.

dealerdear - 17 Dec 2009 08:39 - 2988 of 3050

Seems only you and me watching this Harry. Interesting, was very tempted at 129p a few days ago but with the huge spread decided against it.

Where do you reckon now?

HARRYCAT - 17 Dec 2009 08:49 - 2989 of 3050

7245 shares traded so far. That's what worries me.
Based on the U.S. chart, $6 looks to be a tricky resistance level, so that would represent 20% up from today's price. 20% on today's U.K. price would be 180p. That would be my target, perhaps based on thin logic though!

dealerdear - 17 Dec 2009 09:08 - 2990 of 3050

I think I'm happy to sit and watch for the moment and wait for better market conditions.

daveknowsbest - 21 Dec 2009 21:59 - 2991 of 3050

Up up and away. Alright guys? I got a good feeling about this one. New year should be a stormer!

HARRYCAT - 23 Dec 2009 16:33 - 2992 of 3050

Finished at 156p, so another step in the right direction.

HARRYCAT - 04 Jan 2010 20:45 - 2993 of 3050

SOL:US currently up 6%, so hoping for a good SOLA day on tuesday.
