Afren plc is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company operating in Africa and the Middle East. i have heard that the damning CPR was actually issued part way through the (annual) process .... does anyone know if there is any truth in that?
it is also puzzling that the original CPR was also done by an indenpent body, so how could that be so completely variance with the latest?
that said, if there is no bid tomorrow, even if only an opening shot, then sp will be going in one direction only

I reckon the market will possibly keep the sp up even with no bid from the first lot because another bid from other suitors is very, very likely.....

Just no news yet. Nigeria are an hour ahead of us, so shouldn't be long now! Rumour was that they would ask for a seven day extension to the deadline.

i am very puzzled (and thick), but of you look at today's news for AFR there are some very odd tradings from morgan stanley
anyone understand them, or are they pretty irrelevant?
