Pursuit Dynamics - A British success story in the making? (PDX)

Andy - 31 Aug 2003 11:58

Pursuit Dynamics plc is a UK based research and development company, which was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary pumping and propulsion technology. Pursuit Dynamics (symbol: PDX) was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2001.

The PDX Technology is a steam-based system that has applications in both pumping and marine propulsion. It is cheap to manufacture, extremely robust, contains no moving parts and is virtually impossible to block. Pursuit Dynamics owns 100% of the Intellectual Property Rights that surround the PDX Technology.

Pursuit Dynamics is now working towards the commercialisation of the technology it has developed.

Pursuit Dynamics plc ('Pursuit' or 'the Company')

Pre-close period statement

John Heathcote, Chief Executive of Pursuit Dynamics plc, the developer of the
PDX innovative fluid processing technology, will make the following comments
at meetings before the Company enters its closed period in respect of its
preliminary results for the year ending 30 September 2004, which will be
announced in January 2005.

'Since our shareholder update in early August, Pursuit has reached the next
stage in its commercialisation of the revolutionary PDX fluid processing
technology, following 6.5 million of investment over four years. We now have
clear returns from our marketing, advertising and sales programmes and our cash
position is comfortably strong. We have identified, and are developing, a range
of applications, from marine propulsion to the food and drink processing
industries, but our immediate sales and marketing focus is in the food
industry, which we believe offers us the quickest route to market.

'The food processing industry has always been a key target area given the PDX
's ability to pump, blend, mix and heat simultaneously and where a single PDX
can replace multiple capital items. We are confident we will book the first
sales in the next few months, following extensive interest from food
manufacturers and distributors. To achieve this, we will roll out our first
product, the PDX Sonic 25, in January 2005. This is a fully integrated, skid
mounted, `plug and play' system capable of processing liquid foods (sauces,
soups, stocks, marinades, jams, etc.) faster and cheaper than alternatives.
Typical performance advantages demonstrated against the widely used steam and
hot water jacketed vessels are a reduction in processing time from around one
hour to below five minutes, with direct energy operating costs of around 25
pence per tonne of process flow.

A further advance has been the success of our FireMist development programme.
This water mist generator can produce smaller water droplets and project them
further, and in greater volume, than any other system available today. FireMist
has attracted considerable interest from government agencies and major safety
equipment manufacturers around the world for use in fire fighting,
decontamination and disinfecting. Live fire suppression trials have recently
been successfully completed and decontamination and disinfection trials will
start shortly.

In addition to FireMist and the immediate target market of liquid foods, we
are undertaking field evaluations, or in-house trials, with industry third
parties in the paper, soft drinks and brewing industries. I look forward to
announcing further positive news throughout 2005.'

John Heathcote, Chief Executive

Looks like things could really satrt happening soon!!!!

Hopefully, although the statement is bullish, nothing new here really. I am awaiting the news over the next few months.

What exactly is meant by "Pre Close Period"

dclinton - 11 Nov 2004 09:54 - 303 of 1003

There is a period leading up to the results when the directors of the company are not supposed to make any comments to the press in order to avoid the possibility of leaking information early. This is the Close Period. This pre-close statement is essentially the last comment from them before that period.

Doug -= Thank you for that - I have only been at this "sport" for about a year and that is the first time I have noticed such terminology. Seems to me that it could be a good way of saying "we have nothing to say". However, in PDX I have faith that there will be good and constant news in due course. Thanks again

Pommy - 11 Nov 2004 11:39 - 305 of 1003

Errrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

NO!!!!

FYI - 4th of March by which time contract will be signed. Hence the reason investors are back in buying, this will be worth millions from a billion market.

Disappointing day, obviously lots bailing out after what they see as another 'Jam tomorrow' statement. After nearly 18 months I know how they feel. It of course begs the question, if this technology is so revolutionary and so brilliant, why aren't companies falling over themselves to install it. More patience required but the next few months could be a bit fraught. I shall keep the faith, but it is difficult to know where price goes from here, drifting down to 115-120 or fresh buying on weakness and trading between 125-130

Andy - 12 Nov 2004 00:04 - 307 of 1003

Rake,

Frustrating indeed, I agree 100%, BUT I think this MAY be a 'jam next year' stock, and do expect a higher share price once a few have been sold/leased.

The trading ranges are for now, IF some decent deals are signed, I really believe we will leave these behind.

I have total faith in the technology, I have seen it working with my own eyes, it simply remains to be seen whether they can commercialise it.

I honestly believe they will.

Rake - 23 Nov 2004 07:53 - 308 of 1003

At last !

Oakapples142 - 23 Nov 2004 08:54 - 309 of 1003

Hi Rake - Agreed what a relief. Interesting that it is Coca Cola who have been trialling the PDX for over 18 months - shows how long these things take and how we need to be patient if we like the product

I have long said that this share will be Dynamic (pun intended)!

legend290782 - 23 Nov 2004 14:01 - 313 of 1003

LOL but true!! I would hope that now coca cola have seen how good pdx is, other firms will do and contracts will follow. I would like to see the terms of this contract though.

Oakapples142 - 23 Nov 2004 14:07 - 314 of 1003

I agree with both points you make. Contract terms will be important and PDX most probably had to give a little with this giant. However, let us be encouraged what a start. Good luck

You as well OA, i did start to get a bit concerned when it dropped back to 1.20 due to lack of newsflow.... i think anything is possible. I personally will be looking for the 2 mark. You would expect good, bullish write ups tomorrow. I don't know anyone who has anything bad to say about the company.

Andy - 23 Nov 2004 21:03 - 317 of 1003

All,

Well a strong finish today bodes well for tomorrow IMHO.

OA,

yes I guess they probably had to give some ground to achieve this deal with Coca Cola, but by achieving a contract with such an industrial giant adds so much credibility to both the copmpany and the product, I think this will turn out to have been worthwhile in the long run.

I think this will prove to be the making of PDX.

Legins - 23 Nov 2004 23:40 - 318 of 1003

With a large international corporation Coca Cola now endorsing the strength of PDX25 product for Pursuit Dynamic's future is truely the begining of 'A Great British Sucess Story' NOW IN THE MAKING!
