Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

In response to enquiries on the Betfair forum for decent realtime FTSE charting, MAM is often recommended. Given the close finishes on some of the hourly FTSE bets, an accurate chart is essential.

Looking at today's MAM chart, however, it appears that the data is not correct. The first tick after 9am is shown on my FutureSource feed as 4845.20. This agrees with Betfair/Bloomberg. However, the MAM chart shows the open of the first 15min bar after 9am as just over 4843.

To use your chart for Betfair purposes, one would obviously need to subscribe to streaming charts. Is the same data source used for both steaming and non-streaming charts? If so, would you please investigate and resolve the above discrepancy?

Thank you.

Piptrader,

The intraday and the streaming charts draw their information from the same place - I will cross compare with some other providers to see if there is a discrepancy.

Piptrader,

I have cross compared with a seperate data source and the first 15 min bar on both us and the independent data source was just over 4843 as we are showing.

Two issues with streaming charts: in the Bar and Candle formats the current price overwrites the last bar (at least in the 'Big' size, I haven't tried the others). Also there appears to be no way to change the bar/candle interval from 15 mins. Although I don't normally use bars and candles I would have thought that would be necessary.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 13 Jan 2005 11:30 - 2997 of 7315

Kayak,

I will take a look at the first point you have raised. To change the time interval you would need to be on streaming charts, at which point you can right click on the chart and select the time period in minutes.

Kayak,

I can see what you mean with the candle chart - I will get the guys to take a look.

Oh right Ian, sorry I hadn't spotted the right click mechanism.

PS. Where's my voucher, have you drunk it :-)

Ian,

Curr volume on FGML is showing as 6814, yet last trade is showing a 50000 trade!

I know it is a late 50000 trade, but it surely should be included? otherwise the cummulative total is showing less than the last trade, which looks odd.

Bullshare - 17 Jan 2005 09:39 - 3003 of 7315

Andy; It was a trade from Friday so we do not include it in todays accumulated total.

Bully,

ok thanks, fair enough, it just looked slightly odd to me to see the cumm total less then the last trade!

Regards,

andy.

On my other PC.The mouse pointer doesnt change to a hand under Trades charts or news on stockwatch.
Have to go to header menu to access

IanT(MoneyAM) - 20 Jan 2005 16:13 - 3006 of 7315

Iain,

This may be due to a pop up blocker on the other machine - even though it doesn't change to a hand can you try clicking them to see if they come up - if not, it would point to a pop up blocker on either your browser or you firewall.

How do I read a complete long thread? for example the betting excganges thread. I want to read it from start to end but I cant get to the start? I might be able to go a page up at a time (from the bottom) but that will take ages. There isnt a read all posts or a top button.

Help please, if ots not possible could you retrieve the whole thread and email it to me?

Thanks

IanT(MoneyAM) - 24 Jan 2005 10:16 - 3009 of 7315

Spaceman,

Unfortunately, this is not possible as when a thread has reached a certain number of posts, the all messages thread is removed as it would take to long to load up the entire page. At the moment, it is only possible to go back a page at a time.

Regards

Ian

Spaceman - 24 Jan 2005 10:20 - 3010 of 7315

IanT, Thanks but doesnt that seem a bit silly? you might as well delete the thread. Some threads would take days to get to the top eg GD tea rooms its pointless keeping that info if it cant be accessed.

PS what abouyt sending me the whole betting exchages thread by email?
