Good morning traders!

In Asia this morning, the Hang Seng reached midway down 188.52 points at 15,676.04, while the Nikkei was recently up 2.59 points at 15,601.79.

New York's main oil contract, light sweet crude for July delivery, was down 47 cents at $71.29 a barrel from its close of $71.76 in the US.

Happy trading!

London looking pretty calm, indicating about -32 from last night's close ...... After Dow's late collapse, that is encouraging ... always assuming the sellers do not rush in when the market actually opens

Druid2 - 24 May 2006 08:36 - 6 of 13

Good morning all.

Mega Bucks - 24 May 2006 08:52 - 7 of 13

Morning all,no positions open at the moment, wont be trading for about a week, off to scotland on friday for a weeks metal detecting :-)

cynic - 24 May 2006 09:12 - 8 of 13

as if anyone cares ...... but have closed running shorts on both Dow and FTSE (bank manager says thank you!) and have just opened a FTSE long as market looks very calm and therefore imo likley to recover quite well ..... Dow indications are currently strong, but shall wait until opening time probably before considerinmg whether to take a punt

cynic - 24 May 2006 09:18 - 9 of 13

DOW ..... made no real attempt to break through 11200 yesterday, though from memory 11250 may prove a sterner test ..... However, current indication are at lease a recovery above 11100, so if FTSE stays (pretty) solid, and there are signs that it will, then it just may be that DOW will have a good day and test or even break that 11200 mark ...... Anyone feel strongly otherwise?
