Quadnetics Group - advanced CCTV security systems (QDG)

lanayel - 18 Sep 2006 11:51

This may be another gem that has been unearthed on a couple of the other BB's.

The results are due tomorrow when we'll get a better idea of the potential.

Certainly worth keeping an eye on.

There are only 2 market makers so will be volatile.

Wait until the orders come in from usa and canada, then they will be noticed, could also be a takeover target.I reckon a three fold increase in share price within the next twelve months is certainly possible.

lanayel - 16 Feb 2007 09:36 - 5 of 9

This is one that has escaped the radar on this Board.

The interim results were announced last week:

http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200702070701018328Q.html

Highlights

Turnover up 74% to 30.9 million (2005: 17.8 million) with full six
months contribution from businesses acquired in the previous year
Overall gross margins increased from 29.0% to 31.9
Underlying profit* before tax up 91% to 1.8 million (2005: 0.9 million)
Underlying earnings* per share up 21% to 8.7p
Interim dividend of 2p (2005: 1.5p)
$7.1m of orders or letters of intent received by Synectics for digital
surveillance solutions in North American casinos with Synectics specified
in upgrades valued at a further $3m

and the outlook:

The market for electronic surveillance systems continues to grow. In addition,
the shift in underlying video capture, transmission, storage and network
technology from analogue to digital is creating opportunities for new products
and services. Within this very positive environment, Quadnetics will maintain
its focus on providing integrated, workable open platform solutions in a sub-set
of specialised market sectors that we know well, and where we can deliver a
competitive advantage.

The Group's order books remain healthy and further large orders, in particular
from the casino sector, are expected in the coming months. Overall, the activity
level and momentum of our businesses are strong, and the Board continues to
expect good results for the full year and further progress beyond.

Whilst IndigoVision has, quite understandably, taken all the glory on the financial BB's over the last couple of years I think this gem of a Company will start performing rather well in the weeks and months to come.

Were those two huge deals buys or sells at 360p ?

Judging by the firmness of the share price it looks as though an institution (or two !!) has got in.

I think we could charge over 400p again soon.

There was a mark down last week when one fund offloaded stock at 350p.

Much of that has found a new home at 360p.

As Kays suggests above the SP could well get back over 400p reasonably soon.

hi Ian,

well done for putting out a thread on this one. I liked the look of it in Shares Mag a couple of weeks back. haven't had much of a chance to research at the moment, but it's good to see one or two people here giving the stock some attention. Might look into it a bit more in the next few weeks.

Again i reiterate my thread on 14/10/2006,also last weeks dip in share price ,is probable more to do with it going x dividend more than any thinik else ,which people tend to forget.Remember the U.S.A is cctv/security happy at the moment and Quadnetics will be a attractive target to one of its own.Don't say "if only i new before the massive rise".
