The company is the 100% owner and operator of the onshore Nebit Dag PSA, Turkmenistan and holds non-operating interests of 35% and 25% respectively in the onshore Kouilou and Kouakouala PSA permits in the Republic of Congo. As at the beginning of December 2003 the gross daily production from company held interests was approximately 23,000 bopd. Burren has expanded rapidly and established the following businesses: Oil production from the Burun field within the Nebit Dag Production Sharing Agreement area, onshore western Turkmenistan, where Burren is operating. Oil exploration and production in the Kouilou and Kouakouala production sharing agreement areas onshore in Congo (Brazzaville), West Africa. Management of a shipping fleet of 8 tankers under a 15 year charter agreement. Upstream activities now account for greater then 90 per cent of gross profit. Burren is headquartered in London and has 2 overseas offices.

Despite falling from favour recently, partly due no doubt to a large placing of 7m+ @ 830, this is still a top class company that is likely to become more aggressive in the near future .... unquestionably a BUY

sp has bolted for glory, straight through 200 dma ...... no news out, but this isn't just some tinpot E&P company, so almost certainly good reason

All the midcap oilers are having a good day. Check out VPC, DNC, CNE, DGO etc. etc. Rumours of a sector bid - plus oil back north of $61.

Sunday Times had long article re 50 top shares described as "hidden gems" ...... far too long to quote here, but suffice it to say that Burren clocked in at Number 2 and TLW at about Number 35.
Recommend "friends" here who would like some quality to leaven their spivvy stocks take a good look.

Burren is a SCREAMING BUY AT 735p. look at the chart. Oversold!
