Greatland Gold, piddling 1.38 million valuation too small? (GGP)

chad - 07 Mar 2007 20:52

This one came to my attention on Trading places where Tom chose it over the other 2 stocks featured. The company has 3 mineral projects in Australia, all of which it owns 100%, and the Tazmanian one 'already contains an inferred resource of 90,000 ounces of gold. The company has a NAV of 5.5p and is fully funded with 1million cash. Looks good value.

GGP also provides a rather contrived play on PAF. If you are comfortable with the investment case for GGP in its own right, notice from the half-yearly report on 13/3/07 that it has a 134k holding in Sunvest, an ASX listed Bruce Rowan vehicle.

About a third of SVS:ASX value is due to 33.2 million shares in PAF - which is currently suspended under the AIM takeover rules. If as the pundits suggest PAF is going to re-float at around 9p, SVS's NAV would rise by 15%. Thus the notional value of GGP's holding gets a nice little boost.

ok it doesn't amount to much but I certainly don't advocate buying SVS:ASX as it's about the least liquid share I've looked at for some time.

For the record - and please DYOR - Bruce Rowan's AIM listed vehicle Starvest (SVE) is a major investor (i.e. sponsor) in GGP so you can see how incestuous the whole thing is.

A lot of movement with this stock today so far with 7.5 million traded yet no change in price. Must be going somewhere soon and looking at the amount of buy's I guess that will be upwards.

chav - 16 May 2007 13:08 - 5 of 44

5.5% up today so far and still all buy's.

chav - 25 May 2007 10:58 - 6 of 44

12% up again today so far.Seems popular.

New on Commodity Watch Radio

International Speculator Doug Casey
Callum Baxter of GREATLAND GOLD (AIM:GGP)
Nova Gold (CA:NG)

Well worth a listen

Callum comes in at about 50 mins but Doug Casey is well worth a listen too, very bullish on gold.

Apparently GGP have an almost cult following according to CWRadios Dominic Frisby and is one of the most requested companies for the show.

Callum talks quite a lot about Warrentinna and how outstanding the initial results were and how the check to see if they could be replicated resulted in even higher grades really outstanding

Greatland Gold: Casting an eye over Warrentinna
By: Ian Mclelland
Article Date: 26th July 2007

In many ways Warrentinna offers as much, or even more prospectivity than Firetower,

Interim results out today showing the company to be in a good position and moving forward in a positive way. When the results on the recently compleated drilling become available these could move up fast.

chav - 10 Apr 2008 10:31 - 12 of 44

SP is on an upward trend with the drilling results not to far off and gold prices still looking up.

chav - 13 May 2008 23:37 - 13 of 44

sp still on an upward trend and still waiting for the drill results which could see GGP move up a considerable amount. These Ausies do move to fast in the labs!

relishing - 14 May 2008 09:48 - 14 of 44

Very disappointing.

It moved a considerable amount alright, in the wrong F'ING direction.

chav - 14 May 2008 10:31 - 15 of 44

Ha Ha your right there relishing! The long wait over and down it go's. I have held and shall continue to hold as still see plenty of potential with these.

chav,

Now July and you are still waiting. I wonder when the next RNS will be released and will the content be much improved from the last.
