Good morning traders!

In Asia today, the Nikkei ended the morning trading session 1.6% lower at
16,834.11. Hong Kong markets are closed for a public holiday.

The November oil contract settled at a record $89.47 a barrel on the New York
Mercantile Exchange Thursday. It recently was trading at $89.55 on the electronic
market after coming off the $90.02 intraday record.
