bargepoles (TER)

hangon - 19 Dec 2007 15:56

I cannot understand this company - the name is Tersus Energy plc, yet the company names is Tarsus Regs (hence the EPIC= TER).
Unfortunately for this company investing (I understand) in California - it is the same EPIC as Teradyne a semiconductor manufacturer, of considerable size.
Such confusion shows a poor grip on the business IMHO, and for that reason alone I say "bargepoles" - I note that Peter Gylenhammar, has invested indirectly, surely the KOD for any Stock.

Back in with 100K at 1.60p after enjoying a rise from 2p to 3.50p last year. Trading statement is due soon! Came out on the 23rd of March last year!

No value on Assets against current mkt cap of AIM listing...Net Assets still at an eye popping 5 million which would equate to 13p on the share price!

*Net assets of #5.08 million - take out 2 million for goodwill and intangibles and even then the net assets figure would come to #3.08 million. With 38 million shares in issue that would equate to a share price of around 10 pence!!!

The current mkt capt only puts value on the AIM listing despite having significant assets and not including goodwill/intangibles.

Chief executives look at management buyouts

By Ben Bland
Last Updated: 12:11am GMT 19/03/2008

'Behind closed doors, frustrated executives often brag that "if the market doesn't start valuing my company correctly soon, I'll just buy it back". Now, an increasing number of management teams are putting their money where their mouth is'.

Mr Pehr G seems to be into alternative and renewable energy which would explain his interest in Tersus. I bought when I heard that PG had invested.

Pehr G Gyllenhammar joins Arise Windpower AB
Sep 05 2007

Pehr G Gyllenhammar has joined Arise Windpower and taken up the position of Chairman of the Board. At the same time, he has become one of the company shareholders. Arise Windpower plans to make a major investment of SEK 4 billion in at least 100 wind turbines in Laholm. These will nearly double the total production of electricity based on wind turbines in Sweden in 2006, i.e. approximately 0.9 TWh/year.

This is an interesting project matching the trends of today, says Pehr G Gyllenhammar. There is a rapidly growing demand for renewable and green energy. Therefore, the project has the solid support of both the authorities and the general public. Our project is one of the largest of its kind in Sweden. The initiators have carried out excellent preparatory work and I am looking forward to working with them on the board and helping to realize the companys plans. The companys head office is in Laholm and I am impressed by the enthusiasm of the people in command and by their commitment to the project. I am looking forward to working with them, adds Gyllenhammar.

Ulf Corn one of the founders of Arise Windpower and the former Chairman of the Board, believes that the necessary conditions are in place to enable the company to reach its objectives.

http://www.arisewindpower.se/en/start/

Our work on the detailed planning and application of permits has gone well and we are now at the procurement stage for the first wind turbines, says Peter Nygren. Our objective is that all wind turbines planned for the Laholm area are to be in production within 3 to 4 years. The Laholm project will be followed by several of a similar kind. In these circumstances, being able to bring Pehr G Gyllenhammar on board is naturally extremely gratifying and important for the company. Mr. Gyllenhammar will give Arise Windpower access to industrial know-how and an international network which will be extremely valuable for the development of the Company, says Nygre

My point is that (with any luck) PG will take an active role in Tersus and add it to his existing interests in renewable energy projects. If so, the sp will respond in time.

Trading statement is due and then Finals in June! Also, about time the sale of Navitas if be on its own is announced. They were looking for 2 million for it and even a 1 million fire sale (which one would least expect considering the levels of turnover and profits the subsidary is making) would be equivalent to 4p on the share price. Not to forget flogging off Envinta which should be profitable now as well.

Very interesting..pre-market mark up today on the price...1.00-2.50p, trading statement is due very soon I believe and imo some biggie rises maybe coming.

Up again on no trades - 1.50-2.50p - something has to be brewing? Up 33%.

Active - 28 Mar 2008 09:43 - 9 of 13

Up 12.5% again...something imo brewing.

Active - 28 Mar 2008 09:49 - 10 of 13

Up 31.25% now???

1.50-3.00p, L2 is 2 v 2. Offer should stay around 3p and imo nicely set-up for any positive news. No significant buys have come through yet that has produced the rise thus far over yesterday and today. 50% spread looks like to deter buyers as well imo.

Active - 28 Mar 2008 21:24 - 12 of 13

Very much doubt that the market makers are trying to sucker a few in because the screen spread would not in that case be a stonking 50% or 1.50p ..though actual buying price was around 2.40p at close. Price has held onto the gains over successive trading days albeit of highs of 2.00-3.25p. Maybe with the general market malaise over for now the price being corrected to more appropriate levels considering Net Asset Value is 13p or 8.10p without goodwill & intangibles. 2.50p is a key resistance level to break and then could see 5-6 pence again.

This coming week will be interesting imo considering the rises on Thursday and Friday last week. One to keep an eye imo.
