Mirada PLC - ex Yoomedia

oblomov - 10 Mar 2008 10:26

Felt we needed a thread in the Investors room. Currently only in the Traders room.

Held this for quite a few years (unfortunately) and only just realised YOO have aquired Fresh Interactive Technologies and changed it's name to Mirada.

Going by the YOOMEDIA thread, I'm not the only one who hadn't realised!

REG-Mirada PLC: Re Agreement
Released: 12/06/2008

Mirada Plc
("Mirada" or the "Company")
New Customer Agreement and the Opening of a New Office in Italy
Mirada, the AIM quoted interactive media and games group, announces a new
agreement with ITV plc to provide interactive digital television bingo
services. The initial agreement covers the technical production and operation
of `Bingo Night Live', a free-to-play bingo game launching this month. The show
will be broadcast live on ITV1, five nights a week from Tuesday to Saturday at
midnight.
For competitive reasons, the Company is unable to disclose the terms of the
contract, although it is expected to lead to a significant increase in revenue
within the Company's B2B gambling business this year.
This deal reinforces Mirada's position as one of the leaders in audio-visual
gambling solutions and demonstrates the technological know-how of Mirada as the
show will be broadcast live on ITV1 and allows viewers to play via the
Internet.
Bingo is a core product in the Mirada gaming division. The Company's technology
enables viewers to play bingo, and other games such as roulette and a full
casino suite, through digital television and the Internet which are operated
under the Mirada UK gambling licence.
The Company is also pleased to report the opening of their first office in
Italy. The Directors are already pursuing several significant new business
leads in the region, and believe having a permanent base in Italy would best
facilitate the winning of new contracts.
Jose Luis Vazquez, CEO, Mirada Plc, commented:
"This profitable new contract is continued evidence of the successful
integration of YooMedia and Fresh. The combined organisation now operates with
a broader product range, improved access to intellectual capital and high value
industry contacts as well as stronger financial controls.
"We are delighted with the unveiling of our new Italian office. This is a
significant milestone in the transformation of Mirada into a truly global
company. We are pursuing a strategy of international expansion as we believe
our products are easily transferable over geographic and political boundaries."
