In Asia this morning, Nikkei was up 142.78 points at 10,165.37, while the Hang
Seng reached the midpoint off 139.27 points at 22,358.88.

Crude oil traded at $75.68 a barrel on Nymex.

Gold settled at $1,158 an ounce.
