In the US last night, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 72 points at 10,897.52,
the S&P500 fell 7 points at 1,182 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 6 points at 2,431.16.

In Asia today, the Nikkei was down 124.34 points at 11,168.49, while the Hang
Seng ended the morning off 37.18 points at 21,891.59.

Crude oil traded at $85.71 a barrel on Nymex.

Gold settled at $1,146 an ounce.
