Morning all. Given how few posts we get one thread per week seems a good idea to me.

Inflation 2.5% vs expected 2.7%.
It's finally beginning to feel like the UK economy has turned the corner since the Brexit vote.
Inflation coming down and should continue to do so since the pound is strengthening.
Unemployment coming down
Wages ticking up by a tad more than inflation but not so much as to cause companies any pain.
I'm feeling pretty comfortable about share prices in the next couple of years.

Pound slightly off against the dollar & euro on the back of those numbers as I assume interest rate rises are now less sure?

It would seem that way Skinny although it's my opinion that the BOE will go ahead with the near term rises. They seem to be on a mission to get interest rates up a bit to ensure there is no shock to consumers at a later date.
I'd probably support this. 0.5% is not normal and a move to 1% in the short term seems not inappropriate, although if inflation is not rising above target one might argue no need to move at all.
It's a pleasant problem for the BOE to have which is probably the first time we can say that in 10 years.
Inflation falling and moving to target, unemployment down, employment up, real wage growth, GDP up although muted.
FTSE up 50 so it seems happy with the numbers.
