Despite strong progress on the war front set the U.S. markets reacted negatively to the news that jobless claims have reached an 11-month high and nonmanufacturing activity has contracted for the first time in more than a year. We could be in for a volatile day ahead of the US non-farm payroll figures Friday afternoon.

AWG water utility and services which is being stalked by WestLB said on Friday it planned to return 100 pence per share, to shareholders.T he firm also said its eastern England utility, Anglian Water, had outperformed targets set by the industry regulator Royal & Sun Alliance said it had sold its UK Healthcare & Assistance business to Oxfordway, a group led by management, for 147 million pounds in cash.
