Stockwatch applet/Level2 enhancements.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 27 May 2003 11:45

Hello,

There has been lots of developments behind the scenes with our stockwatch/level2 applet and our level2 backend over the last few days.

Applet enhancements (live now)
The stockwatch and level2 applets now have an auto-reconnect feature built in to then. Should we restart the streaming servers for any reason, the applet will try constantly for two minutes to reestablish a connection to the server. This will mean that we can seamlessly restart services without you being affected.

Level2 enhancements (live today)
We have been putting in place automatic rogue order detection and deletion on our servers. Previously we needed to restart our streaming servers to clear the rogue orders, but this is now no longer the case.

Should a rogue order *still* slip through the net, we are able to force its deletion, again without having to restart the level2 servers.

I hope these enhancements will improve your MoneyAM experience.

If you have any comments on this work, please feel free to post below.

snappy,

Unless you are running the latest applet, you wont have the auto-reconnect.

to ensure you are running the latest applet, close all your browsers and restart, it should then retrieve it from the server.

Thanks,
J.
