News Headlines:    US stocks fell in a holiday-shortened sessionas as the unemployment rate jumps from 6.1 percent to 6.4 percent with the loss of 30K jobs in June, at the high end of the estimates.

RMC concrete says it remains cautious about the outlook for 2003 as it struggles with weak demand at its German business. But the company said it expected its overall annual performance will be within the market range.

Redrow housebuilder says its full-year operating margin will be slightly ahead of the 18.4 percent achieved at the half year, as completions and average selling price continued to rise.

MMo2 Cut to under perform by Goldman.William Hill bookmakers says it expects to announce record profits of more than 100 million pounds for the first half of 2003, beating expectations. "Subject to sporting results adhering to long term norms in the second half of 2003, the current trend in the group's trading performance would indicate a full year out-turn materially ahead of market expectations," the company said in a trading statement on Friday.
