Thoughts on Conroy Diamonds and Gold PLC (CDG)

Nitefly - 12 Sep 2003 11:57

just caught my eye... Is it a go'er?

Yes but they are nowhere near production.

I've held a small number for years & they keep coming up with good news from the blarney mines.

But I think they are a straightforward & interesting exploration company, if somewhat academically biased.

Price will sag till the next bit of news.

What would make it take off would naturally be signs of interest from one of the bigger companies. Mining gold in Ireland has a lot to recommend compared with some other parts of the world, but there is that little matter of ecological concerns wrt to regulation. (See Minmet & Portugal) But tearing up huge tracts of Ireland & spraying Arsenical compounds around sounds like fun. Oh, but didn't Minmet have an ecological friendly extraction process?

I can't remember if they are still in litigation with the Portuguese Gov.

Anyway I continue to hold CDG & dream!

I hope it comes good before they screw down the lid!
