Looks like there's rumours afoot on Matalan and a potential buyout/take over I presume - great rises last couple of days!

Let's hope the reported results due around the 6th October doesn't spoil the fun.

They have increased their gross margins and had a bullish future outlook in their trading update. The spring/summer was poor, but they expect autumn/winter to be good. I think all that is more or less in the price. It certainly hasn't affected their share price of late.

Peacock another to watch

I agree Peacock is another possible flyer. I like Mothercare as well. Not convinced about Marks & Spencers though.

The results out soon will make interesting reading. No doubt a bad summer but have things got better since?

Modest rise today is more re-assuring following what looked like speculative money going in and just as fast out again of Matalan last week! The results will be the key factor next week....
