vislink price goes up but only sellers of shares, why? (VLK)

joe217 - 02 Oct 2003 12:54

I bought some stock in VLK just before half year in Sept, expecting some good results, they were not, so I got it wrong, but the price is not dropping, if anything it is climbing, any thoughts, pointer why, I would love to know.

Cheers Joe.

If you need to find any thread on vislink just click on Quote & type in VLK, the threads are listed at the bottom of the quote page.

Unless of course the EPIC (VLK) wasn't used when the thread was created in which case you would have to search.

Thanks apple- it works! Would still like to know why they are going up. My first lot were bought as Silvermines & the dividend was paidin Irish, so lost a great deal in conversion.

SOME FROM SILVERMINES TOO. what effect will daily mail BUY recommend have on the price.

Grandma - 08 Feb 2004 20:27 - 10 of 12

samon- Were you following Bob Morton when you bought Silvermines? (I also had Vistec back then.)
If there is any interest in "follow the man" would a list of Companies he Chairs/has stakes in be useful? Is there a source for such a list, or would we need to compile one?
NB Geoff Foster (Daily Mail) seems to follow him.
Maybe the broker tip mentioned Sat. was why they have noved uo a bit- client in first etc. although in my experience most Brokers are completely ignorant of smaller companies & so useless.

Vislink plc

Contract Win

Vislink is pleased to announce the award of a $30 million contract to its US
Broadcast business MRC (Microwave Radio Communications) from a North American
leading provider of wireless communication services to build new replacement
digital equipment in connection with the FCC's (Federal Communications
Commission) 2GHz rechannelisation programme. The implementation of this three
year programme is now underway.

Commenting on the award of the contract, Mr Ian Scott-Gall, Chief Executive of
Vislink plc said, 'This contract is the signal for the start of the FCC's 2GHZ
rechannelisation programme. This is expected to generate incremental revenues
for MRC this year and also for 2006 and 2007. This order also benefits Link
Research Limited, the business we recently acquired, as purchases by MRC from
Link will also increase as a result of this order'.
