3 p SHARE list - your help appreciated.

ajren - 07 Oct 2003 10:24

I am making a list of companies that shares are trading at less than 3.50 p.
Please help me by giving me names of companies they know and if they think
they are worth buying.Thank you.

hamlins - 07 Oct 2003 14:48 - 3 of 45

surgical innovation (sun)2p. Good medium to long term.Into profits since last two years and very positive outlook by the management.

Galleon (gon)1.1p Short to medium term.

Digital classic (dtc)2p.short to medium term.Highly speculative.

Henderson morley (hml)1.75p Excellent product.Medium to long term.

Please do your own research aswell on the above stocks .

Kayak - 07 Oct 2003 16:57 - 4 of 45

Why less than 3.5p? The lower the share price, the more difficult it is to make money on a share, because of the higher spread. Apart from that there is nothing in the price that indicates cheapness, so it is very flawed as a selection criterion. Quite apart from the spread, a share trading at 600p can be cheaper than one at 1p.

mitzi - 07 Oct 2003 17:00 - 5 of 45

I hold Wigmore(WGT) at 3p and although the spread is large the share price is cheap.

wilco99 - 07 Oct 2003 17:19 - 6 of 45

Sectorguard, 3.13p, excellent medium term prospects. Just read the brokers note by Seymour Pierce posted on my other thread about Sectorguard.

hilary - 07 Oct 2003 17:38 - 7 of 45

Kayak's right. Just because a share looks "cheap" at 3p, it doesn't mean it can't fall to 1p. And when it looks really "cheap" at 1p, it doesn't mean it can't fall to ................

But if you're still hellbent on your idea, all of these companies closed last night at 3p or less.

PS.Thanks Hilary for such a long list

skinny - 07 Oct 2003 18:23 - 10 of 45

Hilary - how did you gain access to my portfolio ? :-)

ajren - 07 Oct 2003 19:33 - 11 of 45

The list you wrote above of shares that closed last night at less than 3 p

Mega Bucks - 07 Oct 2003 19:49 - 12 of 45

ajren, I have only been using this site for a few weeks and I have also been thinking about the unnescessary language used by some people. The headmaster at my school said if you have to use that language it is because you do not know the correct words for the situation.

ajren - 08 Oct 2003 21:01 - 15 of 45

The Other Kevin - 09 Oct 2003 09:01 - 16 of 45

aj - As a high risk/reward trader, what are your views of Hilary's list and which ones do you think have potential?

ajren - 09 Oct 2003 12:18 - 17 of 45

Hi,

His list vanished.Strange?

My portfolio includes Wiggins at 4.75.I think Edmond Jackson is not the best
However,he bought at 2.50.
.......
I am presently looking at others -- now to include Coffee House.
Little time but will let you know next week.Howevever,I - like everyone -
makes mistakes e.g.I sold Corus at 42 per cent profit - after MONTHS of
research-instead of 700 per cent profit.I-stupidly-exited because of an
absolutely terrible S and P : WWW.STANDARDPOOR.COM :report.

hilary - 09 Oct 2003 12:46 - 18 of 45

ajren,

The list is still there ...... you just need to click the blue tab marked "All messages" to see the post. Btw, I'm a she not a he.

skinny,

Obviously great minds think alike. That's my portfolio too.

:-)

There are many women - and perhaps their children-reading this site.
Does Mega Bucks language -bloody--CRAP represent most/all of the people on this
site or is it just confined to the type of company he keeps....down the pub?

Well, we wouldn't want all those easily-shocked women reading this site would we? It would completely lower the tone of the place to let them in - next thing you know, the lower orders will be reading the site as well.

I suggest people re-read my 3 lines i.e.list of companies and--worth buying.
I just want e.g.xplc and do they think it is worth buying.

I suspect many people think it's a wind-up - an alleged professional trader who can't find a list of low-priced shares on his own, and asking for buy recommendations as well? Comes across as very dubious to me, especially given the "old buffer" tone of the later messages. These suspicions may of course be completely false, but it just doesn't ring true for me.

ajren - 09 Oct 2003 13:05 - 20 of 45

Hilary...I APPOLOGIZE.Thanks again for long list.I know your views on this
price share. However,IF you were intersted in any of them what would you
suggest as being worth a look.

ajren - 09 Oct 2003 13:23 - 21 of 45

hilary - 09 Oct 2003 13:24 - 22 of 45

ajren,

Sorry I wouldn't have a clue. I haven't looked at the list and only pasted it up because it took me about 2 minutes to generate and I thought that it might help.

If I was actually going to buy anything on that list it would have to be one that was going up.
