The Sun says
HSBC...should be able to exploit growing India and China markets
Woolworth...Chief Exec has reworked the business and also Wallmart and
ShamiAhmed could be interested
Galliford...shares cheap at present and lots of takeovers in this sector
Cobra Comms...pharmaceutical involved in developing HIV, AIDS, and cervical
cancer drug research
Shell...shares look cheap and solid growth and exciting opportunities.
Logicacmg...plenty of NHS Orders..Labour chuck money at the NHS (not that it has got any better!!)
Shell is the only one that appeals to me as I think it is as safe as houses and will also pay decent dividends...one you can tuck away and forget

Questor in the telegraph says:
Questors performance of 49% in 2003 will not be repeated in 2004. Cyclical stocks such as recruitment, software and electronics companies were the toast of 2003. This year, as economic recovery takes hold, volume driven, quality stocks are expected to benefit. The 6 he recommends are:
BSkyB
National Grid Transco
Aviva
Persimmon
Novar
Ramco Energy
Also, if you want to but a covered warrant of the basket of all six stocks Goldman Sachs will be offering one from 19th January - details in the telegraph on 17th Jan.
