Flintstone not so prehistoric (FLT)

partridge - 05 Feb 2004 14:14

At last some movement in the right direction. This company invests in some businesses with high growth potential (primarily in surface coatings). Makes a pleasant change to have a technology business the oldies can understand, as opposed to telecoms, and after a long time in the doldrums lots of recent buys suggest one or more of their investments may be about to pay off. Any thoughts?

Thanks Pat - keronite probably easiest first disposal, hardide looks to have best medium term potential, albeit that means it may need more cash. Could give chance for other investors to take out some or all of Flintstone stake. Ultra Motor could be very exciting long term, but can't find out much about it. Intellikraft has been a dog and Firestop not much better. I now show 10% profit and not unreasonable to think they may get back to flotation price of 33p during 2004.
