NBT - NetBenefit - Time to short it (NBT)

barnymam - 14 Jun 2004 13:07

They have 2.6m of debt

Intangibles of 2m

Wait for this.. tangibles of 328k

How much cash did they have left 1,447,000

But the last RNS stated they will use 1.4m of that to pay for an assetless company. So how much cash have they left ? 447,000

And what shite did they buy ? They paid 2.5m for a company that produced a profit of 84k and net assets of 146k .. yes 146k.

So currently it looks like they have massive debts (it could may have well risen) of 2.6m and they have very little cash left...jut 447,000

You can bet that a fund raising is on its way.. ala dilution.

Time to short this one !!!!!!

queen1 - 14 Feb 2005 14:45 - 3 of 8

It's all been a bit quiet here since the above hostilities in the summer. Is there anyone in this one, recommended by Shares Mag as a blue sky play a couple of weeks ago?

Technet - 09 Mar 2005 08:52 - 4 of 8

Results out today look ok but no way in a million years do they justify the current market cap. of NBT.

Just over 5 mill turnover
Under a mill profit
2 mill in the bank

and a marker cap. of 25 mill!!!

Will short this one once the selling begins.

How's the short going Technet?

Group NBT plGroup NBT plc is pleased to announce that the second half of the current financial year, ending 30 June 2005, is likely to produce a better than expected result. We have been able to achieve greater efficiency in the management and support of the business together with improvements on the previously anticipated cost savings accruing from the integration of Easily Limited into the Group. As a result, whilst turnover will be broadly in line with current market expectations, we now expect PBTA for the second half of the year to be ahead of PBTA in the first half of the year and therefore ahead of current market expectations.

In line with our strategy the Group intends to invest heavily in the
introduction of its products into new market areas over the next financial year,
and so at this time the Board is comfortable with existing market forecasts of
the outcome for the year to 30 June 2006.

Nice rise today....

...and still going up. Good to see following the drift down over the last couple of months. Hopefully see 130p soon.

"Group NBT plc, the UK's leading domain name management and web hosting company, will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 30 June 2008 on 25 September 2008.

The Group has continued to build on its good performance reported in the interim results announcement.

We experienced excellent growth in our core products, NetNames Platinum Service and Managed Hosting, with good progress made in all areas of the business. As a result the Group expects to report earnings ahead of current market forecasts."
