Big Al - 30 Jul 2004 07:41 - 5 of 16

Morning all.

BLS - recent listing on AIM and a less than glittering trading update.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/20040730070000P09B1.html

RSA - flogged another bit.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/20040730070000P7C8C.html

EXL - interims look very good considering FY forecasts.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/20040730070000PBCE5.html

CCT - profit warning. They just can't get it right these days.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700093999B.html

NSB - trading update says 20% ahead of expectations. Wondered why it moved up late yesterday.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700104009B.html

HVX - interims hit by exceptionals, but "The outlook for the year is for substantial growth in sales and profits". Fairly unequivocal!
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700124021B.html

SGI - everything looking good for stamps, including maiden divi and a special one to boot! Also 10 million hits a month on the website.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700124022B.html

AVM - "These have included not only extensions of our gold resources and reserves at existing operations but also new discoveries that could add new sources of gold production in the near future." That should get the Ash-a-likes going. LOL
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700134029B.html

FBDU - has been popular amongst smaller investors/traders recently.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700144035B.html

ASV - one for Howard, I guess! ;-))
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700164041B.html

PRM - this doesn't sound like the best news they've had recently.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700164038B.html

LLOY - 47 pages of interims? Too much for me! Let's just see what the market thinks.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700244067B.html

JRVS - immaterial what the results are? Probably.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700274071B.html

WOS - acquisition.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700294073B.html

IPR - bullish outlook, cap in hand. Hmm.
http://moneyam.uk-wire.com/cgi-bin/articles/200407300700314079B.html

Currently long AQP, ASC, DVO, HTG, MNA, MRS, short FTC, PLM, PLR

NSB well up, PRM well down pre-open.

Have a good day.

teletigger - 30 Jul 2004 08:03 - 6 of 16

Douggie - 30 Jul 2004 08:11 - 7 of 16

mornin all

Big Al - 30 Jul 2004 08:23 - 8 of 16

teletiger - no probs. Usually do it most mornings in the Traders' Room, but keep forgetting to stick it here. Sorry.

emailpat - 30 Jul 2004 08:53 - 9 of 16

Big Al-What's your view on lloy for the divi?-as it seems to have held up so far but don't want to jump on board to early.

Big Al - 30 Jul 2004 09:57 - 10 of 16

emailpat - have LLOY in my ISA specifically for the divi. I guess that says it all really. At these levels it provides a nice wee income and I guess we all need that.

Lobbed PLR short +2.5.

zarif - 30 Jul 2004 10:05 - 11 of 16

morning all:
Lets see how the US results pan out.
Last night the dow rallied a bit a think on the news that one of the ALQayida leaders was caught in Pakistan with a tag of USD 25 million on his head. The rally was short lived.(Maybe the guys who were short paid the 25mill tag by getting hit)

rgds
zarif

Big Al - 30 Jul 2004 14:59 - 12 of 16

Gone short OKR.

teletigger - 30 Jul 2004 15:07 - 13 of 16

Is that wishful thinking Zarif?
regards

p.s. I'd like to thank you trader boys for keeping this thread alive.

emailpat - 30 Jul 2004 15:16 - 14 of 16

Big Al-thanks

zarif - 30 Jul 2004 16:00 - 15 of 16

Teletigger:
I wouldnot mind getting 25mill -head goes dizzy just thinking about the zero's
Also on a sceptical note would you be able to spend it or with these Cia,FBi etc etc "a bullett is much cheaper"

Just jesting of course

Big Al - 30 Jul 2004 16:37 - 16 of 16

Have a good weekend all.

emailpat - no probs. I put 'em in for the divi and they stay until it is cut - or they double. ;-)
