News just in.......................

Turbo Genset Inc.
02 September 2004

Thursday 2nd September 2004

AGM STATEMENT

Colin Besant, Chairman of Turbo Genset, will make the following comments at the
Annual General Meeting of the Company, being held at 11.00 am this morning.

Current Trading

During the first half of this year the Company has identified and responded to
an increasing number of power generation project opportunities and has recently
announced the supply of a 1.2MW generating system to a US based company that
uses land-fill gas in its industrial processes and an agreement to supply
combined cycle generating systems to Tyree Power, our Australian channel
partner, which aims to facilitate the supply of 400kW and 1.2MW systems in the
first quarter of 2005.

In addition negotiations are still underway with regard to the anticipated
installation of two 400kW units in a hotel application in India, we are
confident that these will be concluded soon.

I-Power, our power electronics division, continues to submit major bids to the
rail sector, recently adding further North American proposals valued in excess
of 6 million. The Company announced an agreement in June to design and
manufacture a high-speed motor and the associated drive electronics for SKF of
Sweden valuing the initial contract phase, dependent on end-customer demand, at
around 6 million Euros.

Review of Costs

As previously announced in our recent second quarter results, in light of the
increasing number and value of opportunities, particularly for the existing
1.2MW system, the Company has reviewed its current product roll out plans and
has re-allocated resources to increase the probability of accessing these more
immediate revenue generating opportunities.

As a result of this review, the Company has implemented a headcount reduction in
its London operation. This represents approximately 15% of the group's staffing
levels and results from the elimination of duplicated functions in the London
and Gateshead operations, a reduction in direct manufacturing labour and a
reduction in overhead staffing levels.

This reduction will have no impact on the Company's marketing initiatives, or
the engineering capability for current and future product developments.

Annual savings of approximately 1 million are expected as a result of this
initiative and will flow through immediately. The cost of this head count
reduction is approximately 0.4 million.

Outlook

Our channel partner agreements, clear technological advantages and focus on
commercial sales are now beginning to bear fruit. The level of enquiries and
potential applications are steadily increasing, which is something that the
management team and I are very encouraged by.

Our initial 1.2MW order is a milestone event, which should give confidence to
our staff, channel partners and investors, and provide the platform to continue
the transition from development to commercial exploitation.

The refocusing of our operations and increasing commercial sales will reduce our
cash burn.

jj50 - 21 Sep 2005 12:43 - 6 of 21

pension,

No immediate news but their losses reduced in August and I would have thought the US hurricanes would have to be good news for a generator business. They were talking about contracts in the pipeline last month, so hopefully something has materialized; shall just have to wait and see.

pension271 - 21 Sep 2005 12:58 - 7 of 21

thanks jj - p/271

jimwren - 25 Sep 2005 13:12 - 8 of 21

I have heard some talk about possible contracts being announced - only rumours but any positive RNS should give a good boost to the SP

jj50 - 25 Sep 2005 15:36 - 9 of 21

For info., news on Friday ; Turbo Genset said that following a disposal of 600,000 shares, John Drinkwater now holds 5,566,666 ordinary shares.

jj50 - 07 Oct 2005 08:08 - 10 of 21

I see TGN has been awarded a 500,000 contract by the Dutch railways - always something and a few buyers this morning :-)

jj50 - 08 Oct 2005 10:04 - 11 of 21

More comment on the contract mentioned earlier.

Shares in the innovative power generation group Turbo Genset motored 0.75p higher to 13p after announcing an important contract win. The company confirmed it had won a contract worth 500,000 pounds from Trans Elektro. The group said it had been chosen by Trans to supply power converters for installation as part of air conditioning systems to be supplied to Dutch train operators Nedtrain. The requirement for air conditioning in Europe's trains is increasingly becoming a necessity, one which Turbo Genset looks well placed to service and capitalise on. The company, which was once capitalised at 1 billion pounds, is set to deliver the contract next year.

Hi jj
time we got rewarded for sticking with this one - hopefully not too distant in the future!! p/271

jj50 - 01 Nov 2005 19:31 - 13 of 21

Pension 271 - TGN still breathing! Today's news...

A new contract win for Turbo Genset sent its shares 0.5p ahead to 13.5p. The company said it had entered into a binding memorandum of understanding with a major international capital equipment manufacturer for the design and manufacture of a range of integrated high speed motor and variable frequency drive systems in the size range of 200 kilowatts to 500 kilowatts. The equipment, intended for production release at the end of 2006, is planned to replace sub-assemblies currently incorporated into the manufacturer's existing equipment design, improving overall system efficiency and performance. The value of this initial commitment was expected to be in excess of 12.5 million dollars, with deliveries commencing in 2007

Latest news .. and queen 1, not even a halfpenny rise today!

Alternative power company Turbo Genset today unveiled a much improved set of third-quarter numbers. Losses were reduced to 2 million pounds, down from 5.2 million pounds as revenue zoomed ahead 84% to 1.8 million pounds. Third-quarter results reflected revenue generated by its new agreements with TTC, Lotus and ALC and underline the continued progress made against its key objective of building sustainable revenues. Turbo Genset is continuing to show progress in growing the order book whilst maintaining tight control of operating costs. The shares finished unchanged at 13.25p.

I am in the same position pension 271; hope for some upside now!?

queen1 - 16 Nov 2005 09:41 - 17 of 21

Small tick-up today jj50. It would seem that TGN is not on the readr of most and that news takes a while to filter through. Very frustrating.

Peadar10 - 16 Nov 2005 19:07 - 18 of 21

A new contract win would have been nice

Peadar10 - 16 Feb 2006 18:56 - 19 of 21

A good sized contract for Turbo Genset today. Hopefully more to follow. Has anyone else got news on this one?

TURBO GENSET INC ANNOUNCES PRODUCTION ORDER FOR LOW EMISSION RAIL YARD
LOCOMOTIVE ELECTRONICS

London, February 16th 2006, Turbo Genset Inc. ("Turbo Genset") is pleased to
announce that it has been awarded the initial production contract for the
manufacture of traction motor controllers and low voltage power supply units
("LVPS") for a new low emissions locomotive being produced by the National
Railway Equipment Co. (NREC) of the US.

This contract award follows the successful demonstration of a prototype system,
the contract for which was previously announced in November 2004.

The launch customer for NREC is the Union Pacific Railroad who recently
announced that it had signed a contract with NREC for environmentally friendly
low-emission diesel locomotives for use in its Los Angeles Basin rail yards.
This is part of Union Pacific's ongoing efforts to continue reducing air
emissions in cooperation with federal, state and local environmental agencies.

Each locomotive is powered by three 700-horsepower low-emissions diesel engines
projected to reduce emissions of both nitrous oxides and particulate matter by
up to 80 percent, while using as much as 40 percent less fuel compared to
current low-horsepower locomotives.

Turbo Genset will supply the power electronics which interface to the diesel
engines and produce the traction power for the wheels.

In addition to Union Pacific, NREC continues to promote this technology to a
wide range of rail freight companies and large industrial freight users in North
America and anticipates continued growth in sales.

Turbo Genset has now entered into a long-term agreement with NREC for the supply
of a range of traction and auxiliary power electronics equipment, which is
expected to generate revenues in excess of GBP3.0 million by the end of 2007.
Deliveries are planned to commence in June 2006.

Michael Hunt, CEO of Turbo Genset commented "We are delighted to be working with
NREC on such a prestigious and environmentally progressive programme. This win
is consistent with our recent experience of moving onto a production basis with
blue chip customers following on the back of successful development programmes.
We expect this business to grow in line with the global requirement to cut
emissions."
