Arla have just 'shot-up' as they did last Friday afternoon.

Another profits warning came from Dairy products group Arla Foods - and its shares fell 2.5p to 53.75p. The Lurpak butter manufacturer said that the reduction in the price of own-label milk by supermarkets was widening in the price differential between premium, branded and own label milk. Also, milk volumes had been affected by one discounter's decision to restructure its milk supply and another retailer had disposed of some smaller units leading to a number of closures. These actions have resulted in a reduction of that retailer's overall milk requirements. Although none of these factors will affect the first half result, in combination they are expected to have an impact on second-half profitability by approximately 5 million pounds
