I tried to set up a chart with moving averages and just got an x, came to write question then i clicked back on charts my epic was still there and the chart came up. Just tried with another epic, nothing (just x) clicked on stockwatch back to chart and this time it worked. A little long winded and a bit annoying. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Try upgrading your Java to start and see how it goes from there.

Kivver,
As optomistic says, it may be worhwhile updating your Java - you can do this by clicking on the link below - once this is downloaded, restart your pc and then let me know if this helps,

Loaded java, no change, still have to go to something else then back to chart then it works. Should java work automatically or do i have to click on the desk top item every time?

Kivver - Java should woork automatically and there is no need to click on the actual desktop item.
I will just take a look at a few options in my browser and post back here in a mo'

Kivver,
Can you click on tools at the top of your browser and then click n internet options. Once here can you click on advanced and then scroll down until you see Java (Sun) - underneath that there may also be a Microsoft VM section - can you tell me what is ticked and what is not in here? May also be worth your while trying a restart on the machine if you haven't already,

Now two pieces of info now i have loaded again. New one on its own is ticked. The already loaded:- ticked, 'jit compiler for virtual machine enabled'. Not ticked 'java console enabled' and 'java logging enabled'. I presume those two should be ticked so may have wasted time with new download. I will wait for further instructions. Thanks for help so far.

Kivver,
Can you try ticking the 'Java Console Enabled' one and then restart and let me know what happens?

If sometimes it works and other times not it's more likely to be internet problems.

Kivver,
I will ask JT to see whether he can come up with any suggestions as to what may be causing this for you - If he has any thoughts on this I will post them here.
