Traders Thread - Tuesday 25th January (TRAD)

Greystone - 24 Jan 2005 20:45

Happy Birthday tomorrow, Alan!

Go on, be a devil, have breakfast in bed!!!!!! So long as we don't have to
eat the haggis and neeps again this week, in your honour, I hope :-(

Greystone - 25 Jan 2005 06:28 - 4 of 13

Good morning traders!

Although the US opened higher in the wake of solid quarterly results and worries over an oversold market it traded in dull fashion most of the day and closed at new lows for the fourth consecutive session.

Crude oil ($48.81/bbl +$0.28), closed at its highest level in nearly two months, adding pressure to equities throughout the session

The Dow ended 24.38 down at 10,368.61 with the Nasdaq 25.57 weaker at 2,008.70 and the S&P500 4.12 light at 1,163.75.

Asian markets are looking weak this morning in the wake of the US, with the exception of Hong Kong which is trading slightly ahead.

Back with some UK news soon.

Happy trading!

Birthday Boy :-)

Looks like a nice swingtrade developing in PSON, with the added bonus of a clear breakout above 640
