US stocks extended the previous day's gains following another round of solid earnings reports, respectable economic data and healthy corporate fundamentals.
The Dow amassed a 62 point gain to close at 10,551.94. The Nasdaq ended just 6.29 points ahead at 2,068.70 with the S&P500 8.14 points higher at 1,189.41.

Ian T - if youre around can you explain something to me - when a company reports in US $, how are their results translated on the research page. An example is AU. - the figures on the research page say they are in /p but appear as though the figures are $/c - im confused - could you please clarify
i was looking at EPS and NAV/share but just having rechecked it appears to be all the fundamentals. Also, the shares in issue appears to be too high (last yrs buy backs not taken into account i think)
