suspended yesterday? (ZIM)

Dave1980 - 10 Mar 2005 09:31

Does anyone know why these shares were suspended yesterday?

StarFrog - 10 Mar 2005 09:35 - 3 of 20

Yes:

Zi Medical PLC ('the Company')
Temporary suspension

The Company announces that it is in advanced stage discussions regarding the
potential acquisition of the entire issued share capital of a company funded by
a leading European biotechnology venture capital group.

The acquisition would, if completed, be classified as a reverse takeover under
the AIM Rules and therefore the Company has requested that trading in its
ordinary shares be temporarily suspended.

A further announcement will be made as soon as practicable.

LOL

Edit: You beet me to it Ian. LOL

THANKS FOR YOU HELP

Brian12 - 17 Mar 2005 10:49 - 5 of 20

Does anybody have any idea how long that the shares will remain suspended, or the effect of this reverse takeover? My guess is that is just reinforces the strength of Zi Medical PLC, and bodes well for the future.

Of course, the real question is whether you will wish to retain a holding in the 'new' company as constituted. For myself there will have to be VERY positive news to justify this recent development. A clean offer for ZIM would have been much preferrable and this development, with all the current mystery, merely adds to my suspicion that some fleet of foot financial jiggery pokery is being foist onto us. I would be delighted to be proved wrong but do not share the optimism of those who seem to consider that ANY move is a bullish one.

willfagg - 20 Mar 2005 11:04 - 7 of 20

I quite agree, look at how YOO screwed their investors recently. So far every time i have owned shares that has been suspended or raised capital for what everyone says are "bullish reasons" the price has fallen and some times badly. If they are looking to buy another large company they will probably try to raise cash,So i feel most likely they will create another X squillion shares at 8p (or something equally ridiculous)to ensure they raise the cash and the instituitions will clean up.Probably not even offered to private investors. Then the price will languish for ages. Insted of owning a share thats double you will end up with a 10% gain and a long wait for more.
Maybe a tad pessimistic but been here before.

Has anyone any news update on ZIM? Seems very quiet

willfagg - 13 Apr 2005 11:00 - 9 of 20

It is now a month since the shares were suspended so I made contact today and spoke to a director who owns 10% of ZIM's shares. He advises that Zi Medical could confirm that everything is going according to plan and they are making good progress with their revers takeover plans. He said that they were taking actions which was in the interest of all their shareholders. They state that most of their shareholders are private which should mean the chance of them "doing a YOOmedia " should be greatly reduced. .They still can not confirm when they will be able to release more information.

BANKONE - 16 Apr 2005 00:42 - 10 of 20

What did yoo media do to its shareholders

hilldee - 23 May 2005 11:22 - 11 of 20

willfagg. Your update(and contact with the company) was about one month ago - which was, in itself, a month from suspension date. I do NOT operate on the premise that no news is good news and find the, now, two month delay to be suspect and, to me, unacceptable. That no contact has been made with stockholders indicates to me the requirement that the LSE should DEMAND that stockholders be kept abreast of events. This is now a NINE WEEK inability to raise funds on the sale of this stock.

hilldee - 23 May'05 - 11:22 - 10 of 10

If you dont like it call ZIM and tell dont complain on the BB's and do nothing about it.

hilldee - 24 May 2005 10:06 - 13 of 20

valid point....but I'm too lazy.

shaunoneill - 08 Jun 2005 13:37 - 14 of 20

re list within 2 weeks.

willfagg - 20 Jun 2005 13:27 - 15 of 20

Amazing! I do not know if you remember my post having made contact with ZIM when they promisede they had the interst of thier investors( not institutional ones ) at heart!! here we go again and they wipe 40 of the stock valu as soon as they end suspension. What do the existing shareholders get out of it? I was in the states at the time so as far as i know I have just lost 40% of my investment. When is there going to be some accountability, I thought cases like YOO would have made companies review their practices.Thes cases are puting me of investing in small companies.

BANKONE - 17 Oct 2005 10:12 - 16 of 20

what a crock of rubbish

TIMP - 13 Dec 2005 14:32 - 17 of 20

Anyone got any new news regarding ZIM. It seems to be falling pretty steadily at the moment.

KEAYDIAN - 04 Jul 2006 08:39 - 18 of 20

Going up.

hangon - 05 Jul 2006 02:50 - 19 of 20

Huge excitement as an exec puts the money from selling his Misses' old Golf MkI into shares....is the MM mad?
/
But reading the long list of new-money providers and options and whatever next for anything else they can add to the company, look to me like existing shareholders have been dealt a very long thing...ouch!
+For potential new investors, bargepoles.....you have been warned.
Only rarely does buying a business result in (existing) shareholder value - and it looks like you are never getting any Rights Issues (too expensive - which I don't believe .)- just deliver on what you promised...eh?
This blood monitoring kit never was popular and nurses I've spoken to don't regard it as necessary.....if we had super-wards of 100 beds then "maybe" - but we can't clean 12-bed wards and we are closing others....so where is the market?
Don't know about the other New bits - let's hope they are better thought through in profit terms. I believe the blood-monitor works, have no issue with that.
