It is with great sadness I learn from Martini that his wife Val passed away this morning.
Val had been ill for a number of years and Martini's life has been devoted to nursing and caring for her.
This is a tragic time for Martin and his family, our thoughts and prayers go out to him from everyone on all the BB's.

I'd like to add my condolences.
We all know how much you cared for Val, both physically and emotionally, and devoted yourself to her. Such a young woman taken so early. News so bad that not even the 41 points that the All Blacks chalked up against the Welsh can take the edge off of it.
Martini - my thoughts, and the thoughts of my family are with you. I wish you a long and healthy life.

This afternoon we found an empty field by a babbling brook and enjoyed sophisticated egg/cress and cheese/pickle sandwiches with boiled eggs and packets of crisps washed down with a few bottles of beer.
The sun shone and the birds sang.
All very nice.
Thoughts are with you, M.
