Kivver,
I got your E mail and will contact you when you are available on Friday to discuss, but I think from what you have told me and from the E mails we have exchanged that it may be down to the new software you ahd installed, could be something to do with the security settings in there.
I will be in touch,
Ian

Hi Ian,
some good news. Ive now got firefox working including the stockwatch and java. But the most incredible message came with firefox. It read something like '' moneyam's security certificate runs until April 2006 (cant remember the date exactly) but the date on your computer is set at June 1st 2006 and may effect access to the site''. I have now reset the date (which i set correctly not long ago) and now have access through microsoft as well. So all the hassle was caused by the date being set wrongly on my computer. Hope this information may come in handy in the future for people with the same problem. Thanks again for help in trying to fix it.

cath,
When you say knocks you off line can you elaborate - do you lose connection on just stockwatch or is it a bigger problem.

I do not have AOL, but if it is knocking you off line, I would suggest that you try a different browser such as IE or Firefox, run a windows update, and check that your firewall is set up to allow java through it. A website on its own should not cause this behaviour.
E mail me to let me kno how you get on ian@moneyam.com
