hangon , where do you get your info from ?as far as i am concerned buying the machinery that they were using means its second hand .... tried and tested in situ and it works well. that has to be good news.stanelco are not just a one thing company . look up www.stanelco.com to find out . i have held these for a while now and i am very much looking long term . the patent entitlement action with bprg could take years to sort out, or could take months , who knows how these things work? if anyone could tell me then i would appreciate it .
as far as the price looking high , i disagree. as bprg showed , it only takes one deal to push the price . stanelco are still in r and d stage with many products in developement. with big companies like sainsburys and mac d waiting for developements as well as drug companies then i feel its worth getting in on the ground floor. dyor of course , but this is a long term play i think .

dont know whats going on . all sells so far today. whats happening? am starting to wonder now if bprg are now too big to compete with . they seem to have seo;s potential market locked up . talk on the bprg thread about seo's partner in gelatin replacement going with bprg . does this explain the sells ? any ideas?

got out of stanelco. feeling better about doing that after i read this on the bioprogress thread.
There is an interesting twist with the acquisition of the Aquafilm assets. BioProgress have a court case set for July against Stanelco with regard to entitlement to key patents and patent applications in the portfolio of Stanelco. Stanelco have a major contract with the R P Scherer division of Cardinal Health to develop its Ingel technology, the only place where Stanelco can get hold of the required film is Aquafilm. A clause in the contract with Stanelco allows Scherer to cancel its contract in July. It is now apparent why Stanelco pushed for a court date in September, the fact that it is set for July allows Scherer to break its ties with Stanelco, should it lose the court case.
seems to me that win or lose the case , seo are in a bad position.

argy, i know exactly what you mean. the recent rise doesnt make sense to me . but then , what do i know . i shouldnt complain too much , i made a nice profit on seo.i do think driver knows something, shame he wont tell .my plan was to sell now and wait for the court case in july , and then take another look .thats still my plan . so maybe you should all buy now and laugh when i have to pay double this price to get back in.

lots of buying and selling going on . price up , price down . but nobody is talking about this company . just so peple know the state of play with the bprg lawsuit , this was announced by bprg
Mr Glynn-Jones also informed Shareholders that George Tidy has been appointed as
Senior Vice President Operations at BioTec Films LLC, the wholly owned film
manufacturing subsidiary that BioProgress recently established following the
acquisition of certain assets from Aquafilm LLC, based in Tampa Florida USA.
Mr. Tidy is a qualified Plant Engineer with thirty years experience in
pharmaceutical operations, as well as Research and Development operational
development. He worked for R. P. Scherer Corporation (now part of Cardinal
Health, Inc.) between 1974 and 2001 in various senior engineering positions,
developing and improving gelatin and starch based encapsulation technology,
including major roles in establishing entire gelatin capsule manufacturing
facilities in Korea and Egypt. Mr. Tidy was also a member of R. P. Scherer's
global process improvement team.
Between 1997 and 2001, Mr. Tidy was Plant Director Operations for the R. P.
Scherer Zydis pharmaceutical manufacturing process and, in 2001, he was
appointed Director New Technologies Operations Development for Cardinal Health,
with special responsibility for the development of radio frequency capsule
manufacturing processes in the collaborative venture between Cardinal Health and
Stanelco plc.
Peter Glynn-Jones, said: 'There are few individuals in the world with George's
experience and knowledge of the soft capsule production business. I have no
doubt he will make a major contribution to accelerating the commercialisation of
a number of our dosage form technologies and enhancing the technical
capabilities of our film manufacturing facility in the USA.'
someone who went to the bprg agm raised certain points and he posted his notes . relevant ones to seo are here
2) The appointment of George Tidy - I asked PGJ the significance of Mr Tidy's experience in the joint venture between SEO and Cardinal and was told to "draw my own conclusions"!
3) The recent placing to fund Aquafilm purchase was executed as such because of the importance of "getting in quick". BPRG were in a bidding situation for Aquafilm and could not afford the time it would have taken to raise the money through an open placing/rights offer etc...
4) Aquafilm purchase of assets was done so as not to pick up any hidden or otherwise liabilities - ie BPRG got exactly the parts of Aquafilm that they required and nothing else.
5) RF is categorically NOT used in the current line up of BPRG technologies, however the lawsuit is being pursued for additional future possible revenue streams and simply because BPRG want what they say "is rightfully theirs".
i feel this one might be left until after july when the case is due to start . thats my opinion . anyone got other ideas???

out for now but watching . i still think there are good things to come from seo , but that the court case needs resolving first. i know its only one part of what they do , but it will dominate soon.strange events today though . first mr. tidy is going to aquafilm/bioprogress , then hes not , what a carry on . not god for bprg is it/ made them look decidely foolish i think . puts confusion in the air , indecision , who knows whats going on ? thats why i am staying out for a while .
