So technically he's French and shouldn't have been on the pitch !
Rant over ... now we need Richie McCaw to be sent off in similar contraversial circumstances tomorrow , the Aussies to win by 1 point then the real final will be back on but a day early :-)
Oh well we got the Aussies in a nothing match on Friday then.
6 week ban reduced to 3 for previous impeccable behaviour for Warburton. Think the sending off was more than punishment enough but the idiots on the IRB had to be shown to be backing the ref. Whole team should fly home with Warburton tomorrow ... you can have third place Jules :-)
The referee undoubtedly acted according to the letter of the law.
As to whether there was any malicious intent or not isn't shown in the pictures. Many would say that this is the overriding factor and that it must be a bad law if 'malicious intent' isn't taken into consideration.
eg,
If it is: Red card
If it isn't: Yellow card
IMHO, Wales had their chances but missed them - paricularly the last penalty kick that went under the bar instead of over it. This obviously had nothing to do with how many men were on were not on the field. Had the kick scored then Wales would have won the game.
