Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Andy; It was a trade from Friday so we do not include it in todays accumulated total.

On my other PC.The mouse pointer doesnt change to a hand under Trades charts or news on stockwatch.
Have to go to header menu to access

This may be due to a pop up blocker on the other machine - even though it doesn't change to a hand can you try clicking them to see if they come up - if not, it would point to a pop up blocker on either your browser or you firewall.

How do I read a complete long thread? for example the betting excganges thread. I want to read it from start to end but I cant get to the start? I might be able to go a page up at a time (from the bottom) but that will take ages. There isnt a read all posts or a top button.

Help please, if ots not possible could you retrieve the whole thread and email it to me?

Unfortunately, this is not possible as when a thread has reached a certain number of posts, the all messages thread is removed as it would take to long to load up the entire page. At the moment, it is only possible to go back a page at a time.

IanT, Thanks but doesnt that seem a bit silly? you might as well delete the thread. Some threads would take days to get to the top eg GD tea rooms its pointless keeping that info if it cant be accessed.

PS what abouyt sending me the whole betting exchages thread by email?

Spaceman - I take your point, I have had a word with Jonathan, and we think we will be able to put in a button which would allow you to return to the start of a thread. I will let you know how we get on.

To get back to the first post change

in the header to
http://www.moneyam.com/TradersRoom/ShowPostList?fID=1&tID=1&from=1

i.e. remove the 3001 from the end of the url and put in the nuber of the post you wish to return to.

and adding this ending would show from 1 to 338 (or whatever number you wish)

A bit of system design archaeology for you ;-)

One of the reasons for restricting the scope of the "All Messages" button was to prevent overloading the servers. As I recall, when a thread gets to more than about 400 postings, "All Messages" is dropped as an option.

Derek, thats understood and an understandable restriction however its a shame that stuff is effectively lost. There are several threads where it would be almost impossible to access inof eg GD tea rooms, PC help thread etc

Edit: Silly me. omitted spaces either side of the slash. Tried again and a DOS message flashed up and was soon gone. Will now try to access news.
