Solar wafers specialist ReneSola's second quarter net revenues are expected to be in the range of $245m-$255m - exceeding the previous guidance range of $230m-$250m.

Gross profit margin is expected to be in the range of 28%-30%, exceeding the company's previous guidance range of 21-23% and compared to 17.1% in the first quarter.

Net revenues were up 22.9% on the previous three months and gross profits rose to $76.6m on margins of 30.2% - up from $35.3m on margins of 17.1% in Q1.

Operating income was $52.5m - up from $21.2m in Q1.

Net income was a record $36.1m, representing basic and diluted earnings per share of $0.21, and basic and diluted earnings per American depositary share of US$0.42.
