My limit buy was 19.8 - quite glad now it didn't get filled - this fundraising has been a long time coming and some positive news flow is now needed.

This seems to have hit a bottom, maybe short term, and buying is around twice the sells. Would expect it to start to move up further now the (18p) placing is past. Probably needs further good news but have picked up a few and will buy more when and if it starts to move up again. H

To put it in perspective,Potash Co produces roughly 9-10 million tonnes of potash per year current share price is $46.50. Remember this company started around $0.36 per share in 1989!
Sirius in their presentation believe they could produce 2.5m tonnes per year when production starts 2014-2017 for York Potash. Once they start piling in cash the production rate is bound to increase and could easily double.
I make it that the share will be around £5.00-7.00 min. for SXX
This will be perfect for my pension pot in 20 years time, will keep buying every month.
Exciting times imo. Obviously theres a few hurdles to get pass first, so i will only buy small chunks for time being.

Drilling Update
The Directors of Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY), the globally diversified potash development group, are pleased to provide an update on its drilling operations at the York Potash Project.
SM3 Drilling Progress Update
Progress at SM3 the Company's third hole at the York Potash Project, has been good and the final casing has now been inserted in preparation for coring. Current work to date at SM3 has been free from the fluid loss zones and the resultant delays experienced at SM2. Final casing depth on SM3 was reached in just 10 days compared to 40 days at SM2. The casing has now been run into the hole and cemented into position with full coring of the target horizons expected to commence soon. Once the hole is complete, a deflection from this hole will be undertaken to obtain further information on the consistency of the deposit.
Second Coring Rig
The second coring rig commissioned by the Company's retained drilling contractor is now complete and undergoing final maintenance and equipment checks. It is envisaged that the rig will move from the suppliers in southern Europe by week commencing 27 February 2012, with a view to being on site around the end of March 2012. The second coring rig will help to speed up the completion of the York Potash Project drilling programme.
SM2 Assay Results
Following the successful completion of coring at SM2 (as announced 23 January 2012), the mineral cores extracted were sent to the British Geological Survey for full chemical analysis. The Company has received confirmation that the full assay results from SM2 will be available around 7 March 2012.
Chris Fraser, Managing Director and CEO of Sirius said:
"We are delighted with the progress on SM3. This has helped us to claw back some of the time and budget we had to put aside after the experience at SM2. Our experienced and professional team is continually adapting its approach to help ensure the drilling work is delivered as quickly and as efficiently as possible."

Have added to my already overweight position on these. Chart showing signs of picking up, looking for 35-36p over the next month or so, assuming all goes well with the coring, planning permission, etc. To me, there seems to be a total discount to potential assets, outwith the York project. Highly speculative share, but the risk/reward ratio looks promising IMHO. H

Sirius Minerals has announced the mineralogical assay results of the second borehole drilled at the York Potash Project.
Chris Fraser, Managing Director and CEO of Sirius said: "The assay results of the second new hole in the York Potash Project have continued the strong results obtained from the drilling programme. These important results have confirmed the visual interpretation of the cores, the geological model and the world-class nature of the York Potash Project.
"While work continues on the drilling programme and interpretation of these results, the early indications of this work are that the new boreholes are confirming the geological continuity throughout the project area. The polyhalite grade and thickness found in SM1 and SM2 have both exceeded the assumptions used to determine the JORC Exploration Target of 3.3 to 6.0 billion tonnes of 67% to 94% polyhalite.
Fraser added: "The outstanding thicknesses, grade and continuity obtained in the drilling programme are being incorporated into the Detailed Scoping Study as soon as we receive them. However, through the combination of drilling delays, the better than expected scale and quality of the deposit together with the revised approach to accessing the ore body introduced by the quality of the Shelf Seam, we expect it will take until the end of April to optimise and complete the Detailed Scoping Study."

I suppose an English translation of all this must be good news. It doesn't seemed to have helped the SP , though the share is reckoned to be undervalued.
