(see example below) The Game will last 10 weeks. The team with the biggest profit after 10 weeks wins the game. Team members should email each other or post on this thread their investment ideas for the Team captain. The Team Captain must make the final investment decisions. Teams can only invest and not go short. Buying at offer and selling at bid price. Dividend payments will not be included. The game is based solely on the price of a share. There is a maximum of 10 players per Team. Game starts 30th July, Team Captains should post first investments choices before 6pm Sunday 1st August. This Game is only a bit of fun and Golddog reserves the right to do what he likes (mutley snigger) Eligible players from GD's Tea rooms have already been placed into teams, if you do not wish to play then you can either tell me or just become a silent member of the team. Or you may request transfer to another team. If you would like to play along then please post which team you would like to be placed in. (anyone may join in). The girls team is for girls only. So the way i see it you want the deadline for weekend trading to be midnight Fridays? i can do that if you wish.


This weekend the Team Captain can sell a stock and keep the cash in the bank

or

sell a stock and buy another stock with available funds

or

buy a new stock to add to their portfolio if they have available funds.


I shall be away the weekend and will not be able to update the game friday so you will have to work out your own loss/profits if you intend to trade in a stock. If you want to make a trade just post on this thread. You will have untill Sunday 6pm to post a trade.


Gausie Team, just to note that you are only allowed to invest in one stock.

Some I have sent, some others have sent me, as I said it's been
from time to time, no pattern as such.

stockbunny - does this happen when you reply to a message you have received from someone on the BB - this is usually one possible cause in that if you simply reply to the message it will not reach the sender as their E mail is hidden for privacy.

Not that I am suggesting this is what you have done, but please do alert me if you do have problems and I will look into them,

Good evening all.

The Gentlemens Club is ready to make it's first trade. Much to my regret PTG (the only one of our portfolio that I voted for) has done poorly. Even ignoring the spread, which was bad enough, it is still our worst performer. So PTG goes to Room 101 and our top back-up stock comes in.

Wild Boys, you might want to reconsider, just seen that Citigroup are considering a bid for Barclays. Now thats nice of us girls isn't it, what tips you got, we kinda really need them :o)

Can I elaborate on that! My thinking is that Barclays will probably be the only ftse stock to weather Monday's hail! So it might be more prudent to dump another stock that will surely get hit.
