Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Remain seem to be inching ahead in poll after poll. I want to leave the EU, but there is one advantage in staying in. That is the demise of UKIP will come sooner.

Vicky post 3046, many uk co's have also been taken over by foreign co's and are/have received funding from the EU to move their production elsewhere. It makes you wonder how on earth this is allowed to happen:-

I don't think we'll be seeing the demise of UKIP anytime soon, though
there are some who don't like straight talking and would rather have the

The one thing that rang true last night when Cameron was asked questions was his comment that people should not vote leave base on three Leave lies.

That Turkey is about to join the EU.
That we would join an EU army
and
That we give £350m a week to Brussels.

I want to leave but for none of the above nonsense reasons.

The only thing we will have in this country are Supermarkets .

The plan is without doubt for Turkey to join.

Why else would ford transfer it's transit production there? (with the help of €U money)

So GEORGE the EU wants to flood Britain with labour , but then it's helping companies to relocate out to other EU countries , it's criminal .

Turkey could not join. Any one country can veto it. There is a long list of countries who will veto Turkey, chief among them is Denmark. Denmark had a referendum recently and voted against Turkey joining.

It is all about politics and detente. The idea is to dangle the carrot of joining the EU in the hope that it will improve their human rights record and general behaviour. In reality there is no chance.

There is no reason not to transfer production to Turkey. They have a skilled workforce and their cost base is lower. It doesn't indicate Turkey joining. There is a lot of production in India, China etc and they aren't going o join.

Have Turkey not got a threat in that they could say OK you then deal with all these refugees coming from Syria and heaven knows where else .

The refugee deal has nothing to do with them joining the EU. If for a minute we consider Turkey joining than they would have to meet the convergence criteria and complete the 30 chapters of the joining rules (they have completed one in 30 years). The convergence criteria would take them years to meet. It involves inflation rates, deficit rules, interest rates and others.

It would take Turkey another 30 years to be a candidate. They first applied in 1987 and have made almost no progress. IF anything they are further away due to the deterioration in their human rights.

While Merkels involved I would be very wary .Never say never .

On the other hand..

.Siemens locates it's new wind turbine plant outside Hull, with a multi million investment. Kick starts a whole new industry. Japanese inward investment in Europe is largely focused in UK. Toyota exports about 90% of it's UK built cars.

The UK benefits greatly from being in the EU.

Only a few days left, and the polls show sanity seeping back in.

THERE IS NO DOUBT that cameron wants Turkey to join, when he was
asked if he'd use the veto ON THREE occasions he refused to say.

On the fact that there WILL be a EU army, they've already said that is
their intentions.

The 350 miliion pounds is a true figure(its more actually), As the Leave
side has been saying, Its the GROSS figure, they don't send this 'rebate'
but the fact is its not set in stone, and if the vote is to remain, that
rebate could, and in all probability be taken away.

The NET figure is 34 million pounds a day..

Haystack it's nothing to do with whether Turkey will join the EU or be excluded by veto.

That's a smoke and mirrors job that is being done by Cameron and co.

The refugee crisis and migration blackmail Turkey are using requires free movement of it's citizens in the EU in exchange for the control of immigration into Europe to continue in as near an orderly way as they decide it to be it to be.

Makes not difference if they are in or out of the EU, the Turks are coming.

The British Public will hold those politicians who canvassed support for remain responsible for the end results this referendum.

Immigration is out of control they have a chance to do something about it and have failed to do anything but fib about what is around the corner.
