If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!
Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.
The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.
This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)
If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Mike,
Is there any means of filtering company news from general economic (and other) news? Maybe through a filter which recognises the epic perhaps?

We have that on the todo list - A news alert system and a newswatch page(like a stockwatch page).
We have been involved in something big for a 3rd party(to be announced very soon) and also our Company Zone. Hopefully we can now tackle a new web charting package and then news.

Sorry Bully - not ignoring you but I'm distracted by other work today. From Stockwatch N flag. Still u/s but all other articles display fine. Very strange.

This TFC problem persists I'm afraid. First thing this am I was able to view the Final Results news - now I can't and I also can't see the Holdings in Company item. All others on this epic and all the others in Stockwatch seem to work fine.
Anybody else? Any clues?
Edit - on further trial I can't get the LGEN nor BARC Holdings in Co news either.

Still having problems with getting news - it seems to work fine outside of market hours so I don't think it is my end. Also it is the /cgi-bin/articles link that fails.
Too trivial a problem for you it seems :-(

Kernow,
I am about to send you an E mail to get a few more specifics about your set up and exactly what is happening - and then hopefully, we can get you up and running,
Ian

Ian - see previous posts for past examples. I'm on Win XP home. Today from my stockwatch I can't see the Av. LGEN, SBRY or VOD articles. N flag takes me to the news page but Page cannot be displayed or nothing follows from clicking the specific article link. I can see BT. As I said the common thread seems to be the /cgi-bin/articles/etc links.
No e mail yet and off out v. soon so maybe later...

Kernow:I have put your Epics into their own stockwatch and clicking on the N flag does bring up the newsflag. So we can clearly put our hands up and say its not us!! We have tested this on a number of machines all with different configuations.
The N flag should work the same both during and after hours.
So couple of quick questions:
1) out of hours , which was ok, was it the same computer as you use during the market hours(ie home/work)
2) We have not had a simliar problem recorded so are at a bit of a loss to what to suggest next but the team will have a think.
3) have you instralled any software just prior to you having this problem
4) The news flag link goes through to UK-wire.com , have you some security settings which stop you accessing that URL
5) have you changed your ISP recently as we have had a few reports of some users having difficulty getting uk-wire via their ISP

Looking for some help please, not urgent.
Everything is fine on PC but bought a laptop and there is no response when I click on the charts, trades or news from my stockwatch. I can read the RNS etc under news but not when its in streaming mode where again there s no response when clicking on the news items.
Any suggestions
thanks
Mick

Mick,
This is more than likely being caused by a pop up blocker either in your firewall or in your browser - I would disable any such blocker you have and then try again to find out if this is causing it,

I think these might be Java issues as I've had problems similar to this myself. The worst type being a need for 100% of my machine's CPU being needed to look at MoneyAm's streaming Stockwatch.
I used Uninstall Programs in Control Room and uninstalled everything to do with java that was in there.
All is now OK for me for both here and elsewhere.

spot on, seems to work if I disable Norton and then log out and back in again, any idea whats required to stop Norton blocking it?

Mick,
There should be a pop up blocker in there - try just disabling that.

Sorted Ian
There is a small toolbar which has site popups allowed but this had made no difference. Also on the toolbar is norton internet security and I unticked the block pop ups which allowed me access to the charts and trades although I could not get the news from streaming. I then got a notice to allow popups from this site and now all 100%.
thanks again, I can hopefully go and watch the trades and chart of Dragon Oil move north from my bed seeing I'm doon with the flu!

Ian, this morning I keep being asked to re-log in when moving pages. E.g: I was looking at an L2 and keyed in another EPIC and the next page that came up was the log in page not the L2. Same thing happened on the other screen when I wanted to move from one of the posting threads to my stockwatch.

Priscilla,
We made a slight chaneg this morning to fix something, which required us to restart several things - all should be fine now, but can you let me know if you see this again?
Thanks

Just so you know where we are at with requests:
Out of interest the market breather is giving us a chance to push forward with some new products so look out for a completely new charting package (web based initially) and a Newswatch -like stockwatch but for news!! These will be in open Beta test in a couple of weeks time. We will then think of some alert mechanisms(audible/visual) to tie in with Newswatch.
We also have a competiton being launched in April, aimed at the active investor/trader with some reasonable prizes. This has been on closed Beta test by some of our users for 3 months and looks very good:-).
