THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

All smoking is bad for you...full stop!

However, I like a cigar, and so like to light up.

But take the average bus, it spews out more cancer causing agents into the air than any smoker...when are they going to ban the bus?

cynic - 10 Oct 2013 07:46 - 30838 of 81564

yes fred, she is, which is one of the reasons i am sure that we have now been married tolerably happy for nearly 35 years ..... we give eaxch other space - e.g. she rarely interferes with when i want to play golf - and for my part, i keep her well fed 4/5 times a week!

==========

MK - knowing this thread, my original question has probably been swamped and/or hijacked, so i'll set it again .....

should e-cigarettes have the same strictures attaching as tobacco ones?

aldwickk - 10 Oct 2013 08:07 - 30839 of 81564

Like Tax the same ?

goldfinger - 10 Oct 2013 08:12 - 30840 of 81564

Cynic answer this from Chris........

Chris Carson - 09 Oct 2013 20:29 - 30804 of 30841
Talking shite cynic re e-cigarettes. My wife used to smoke twenty cigarettes a day, since using the above a year last May she hasn't had a cigarette to-date. Sadly I cannot boast the same success, but I am trying.

Have you ever smoked cigarettes? If you haven't then you have no idea what you are talking about. If you are an ex-smoker then I do not understand your argument, but please enlighten me.

Energy company SSE said household electricity and gas tariffs are to increase by an average of 8.2% from November 15. Why!!??

Help the elderly and vulnerable cope with increased fuel prices by encouraging them to jog to the food bank.

MaxK - 10 Oct 2013 08:56 - 30845 of 81564

Good ol id's, man of the people.

cynic - 10 Oct 2013 09:02 - 30846 of 81564

what's the question?
have i ever smoked a cigarette?
yes
have i ever been a smoker?
no though both parents were and my sister is

i also ran a restaurant for 7 years where of course smoking was then permitted

but, as i assume chris has appointed you his mouthpiece, the point is/was what?

personally, i am delighted that smoking has been banned from public places and i see no reason at all why e-cigarettes should be treated any differently, always assuming we (society) would like to see smoking continue its downward trend

goldfinger - 10 Oct 2013 09:22 - 30847 of 81564

Do you not think the old tap Room should be brought back (for smoking) OR smoking pubs and non smoking pubs?.

May help stop the closure of all these local pubs thats happening now?.

goldfinger - 10 Oct 2013 09:42 - 30848 of 81564

No answer as usual and then he complains when no one answers his querys.

Querys I might add he already as an answer for.

doodlebug4 - 10 Oct 2013 09:44 - 30849 of 81564

A stupid comment by IDS - "It's World Mental Health Day... Let's remove the stigma by applauding those with mental issues (be careful though, they are dangerous) "- that's like implying all dogs are dangerous.

goldfinger - 10 Oct 2013 09:52 - 30850 of 81564

Check the spelling of his name.

hilary - 10 Oct 2013 09:52 - 30851 of 81564

Doods,

I'm guessing the IDS Twitter account is a parody account. Typical of Fishfinger though, to follow something that's fake!

goldfinger - 10 Oct 2013 09:59 - 30852 of 81564

That bloke is a fake.

Lets face it everything handed to him on a plate, a comission at Sandringham, his father saw to that, and then he marrys his fathers mates daughter Betsy who just happens to be a millionairess.

Then he has the cheek to talk about non strivers.

Biggest bull shitter of the lot and that includes Camoron.

As the nights draw in it's important you check on elderly neighbours, to report if they have vacant spare rooms before it's too dark to see.
