cynic - 24 Aug 2009 11:13 - 309 of 3666

rf ..... surprised marni has not posted how PFC's tumble was company corruption and a conspiracy etc!

required field - 24 Aug 2009 11:23 - 310 of 3666

Well my target for PFc is somehere between 950p and 1050p...I think it is worth about that and there is the bonus of a dividend, it's a great company and I can imagine it being the subject of a future takeover bid around the 13 or 14 pound mark.

cynic - 24 Aug 2009 12:57 - 311 of 3666

AFR - fingers crossed chaps and chapesses .... sp is chugging upwards very nicely .... but of course so is the rest of the market

blanche - 24 Aug 2009 12:58 - 312 of 3666

Auction!!

cynic - 24 Aug 2009 13:01 - 313 of 3666

doesn't mean a thing .... or did you mean "action!"

blanche - 24 Aug 2009 13:03 - 314 of 3666

Cynic, You told me some moons ago. Never to rely on fingers crossed

cynic - 24 Aug 2009 13:27 - 315 of 3666

no ... told you that legs crossed was the only way to avoid pregnancy ..... well, there are other ways too i guess - as practiced by peeps of certain ethnicity!

blanche - 24 Aug 2009 17:00 - 316 of 3666

Are we going through 70p tmrw???? Nearly did for second there today!

cynic - 24 Aug 2009 17:18 - 317 of 3666

tread carefully ..... bank some profits, if not in AFR, then elsewhere

marni - 24 Aug 2009 20:11 - 318 of 3666

AFR is good medium term hold......over 1 eventually i believe

cynic - 24 Aug 2009 20:27 - 319 of 3666

quite possibly as Ebok looks to be a serious find, though there is still plenty of work to be done ...... there is also the very real possibility amongst all minnows (and larger) that if they do indeed have proper and proven reserves, that they will get swallowed up ..... buying proven reserves is a much quicker and cheaper way to add assets

cynic - 25 Aug 2009 07:49 - 320 of 3666

this won't do any harm either .....

Afren upgraded to buy from hold at Jefferies

==========

indeed, sp has hurtled upwards - hope it holds! - no doubt partially in sympathy with GKP

boxerdog - 25 Aug 2009 17:15 - 321 of 3666

Another solid day! dare I say it, bodes well for tomorrow.

cynic - 26 Aug 2009 14:14 - 322 of 3666

i do so like politically worded brokers' buy/sell notes ...... Cannacord reduces AFR from buy to hold but raises price from 67 to 73!

ellio - 27 Aug 2009 14:19 - 323 of 3666

Cannacord reduces afr to allow its closer clients aboard?

required field - 27 Aug 2009 14:22 - 324 of 3666

The target is far too low...mine is close to a pound by spring next year...

ellio - 27 Aug 2009 15:36 - 325 of 3666

by spring? was hoping 100p by xmas minimum.

kimoldfield - 27 Aug 2009 16:30 - 326 of 3666

And what's wrong with the end of August?! ;o)

required field - 27 Aug 2009 18:30 - 327 of 3666

It's best not to be too optimistic.....by Christmas : it should be way above this level, but by how much ? 20p, 30p....it's a good one that's for sure.

mwoolgar - 09 Sep 2009 09:59 - 328 of 3666

has been a lot of recent activity this week. Obviously The Sunday Telegraph tipping up AFR caused this on Monday morning, however it seems that today there are shedloads of both buys and sells........Is something rumbling uder the surface guys???
