Shares Review 27th November 2003

Chelford Group (CHR)is a software company. though some services still classify it under financial services. Confused? In fact, it reversed into an AIM shell in 2000 abd has since maintained an ultra-low profile. The core business is SSl, which sells an enterprise resource planning (ERP) package that runs on Oracle. A year ago, it also bought an SAP installer buisness. Finance director Martin Anderson is comfortable with the forecasts from house broker Arbuthnot. Rapid profits growth is feasible because margins in software licences are usually close to 100%. Customers include Bank of England and the Royal Mint.

Chelford would like to buy other ERP companies whose products are falling behind the times. It is debt free, but it needs to jack up its share price to give it some bid currency. Anderson says orders are improving, hence the confidence on profits. The spread on the shares is 0.15p - but heck, this is a penny share and no-one should be buying for a quick buck.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 12 January 2004

Chelford Group plc

PERIOD-END TRADING UPDATE

Chelford Group plc ("Chelford"), the IT supply chain software and services
company, today provides an update on its performance for the year to 31 December
2003.

Chelford has made good progress in 2003, achieving a significant improvement
over the preceding year. The market has remained challenging throughout the year
but is now expected to move forward more strongly in 2004.

The SSI Division has been profitable for the whole year and Chelford SAP
Solutions achieved profitability in the second half of 2003. As a result,
Chelford will have achieved a profit before tax and goodwill amortisation for
2003 as a whole. Moreover, cash flow in the second half was positive and
Chelford has ended the year with net cash of #1.35 million (2002 : #1.07
million).

2004 has started well, with order intake during the closing weeks of 2003 strong
within both the SSI and SAP Solutions divisions. Contracted orders already
account for some 70% of Chelford's operating costs for the coming year.

Trevor Lewis, Chelford's Chief Executive, stated :

"After a challenging 2003, our marketplace appears to be stabilising and the
time needed to convert potential orders into signed contracts is becoming
noticeably shorter. An improved order pipeline within both the SSI and SAP
divisions together with the strong order intake in recent weeks gives us
increased confidence for our 2004 financial year."

Chelford expects to announce its results for the year to 31 December 2003 in
mid-March 2004.

SueHelen - 12 Jan 2004 21:42 - 31 of 55

Neutral (Long term) - Jan 12, 2004
Has risen 500% since the bottom on 30 Sep 2002 at 0.35. Has broken the ceiling of the falling trend, which indicates a slower initial falling rate. Has broken through the ceiling at 1.41 of a rectangle pattern. A decisive break will signal a further rise to 4.11 or more. The stock has support at p 0.90. The poor liquidity of the stock (traded 95% of the days, mean 3.53 mill per day) may weaken the analysis.

SueHelen - 12 Jan 2004 21:43 - 32 of 55

Could see a rise to around 4 pence levels as the price has got the decisive break today now.
Have mentioned that this break will signal a rise to 4.11 pence or more.

good spot Sue .. i managed to get on these yesterday as i was going through moneyextra's list of most active stocks .. share ur sentiments ..according to their statement they have already attracted business which vll cover 70% of costs for remainder of year, so if they have another good month or two on the orders, these will i imagine will be worth more than it's current price. one for medium term( till results in march) at least .. until then we will see the normal up's and downs ( like CMS )

good luck

SueHelen - 13 Jan 2004 20:52 - 34 of 55

Thankyou kantona.

SueHelen - 13 Jan 2004 20:53 - 35 of 55

From this morning:

Notable LEADERS today included Chelford, which rose 18.5% to 2.4p. Yesterday its shares rose on the back of an upbeat trading statement. The IT supply chain software and services company said it expects to report a pretax profit for 2003 despite the continued challenging market, and expressed its confidence about 2004

SueHelen - 13 Jan 2004 21:05 - 36 of 55

From Investtech:

Neutral (Long term) - Jan 13, 2004
Has risen 571% since the bottom on 30 Sep 2002 at 0.35. Has broken through the ceiling of a falling trend channel. This indicates a slower falling rate initially, or the start of a more horizontal development. Has given positive signal from a rectangle formation by a break up through the resistance at 1.41. Further rise to 4.11 or more is signaled. The stock has support at p 0.90. The poor liquidity of the stock (traded 100% of the days, mean 5.04 mill per day) may weaken the analysis.

SueHelen - 13 Jan 2004 21:05 - 37 of 55

Neutral (Medium term) - Jan 13, 2004
Has risen 571% since the bottom on 30 Sep 2002 at 0.35. An approximate horizontal trend is broken up. A continued strong development is indicated, and the stock now meets support on possible reactions down towards the trend lines. The stock has support at p 1.00. Poor liquidity (traded 100% of the days, mean 5.04 mill per day) weakens the analysis.

SueHelen - 13 Jan 2004 21:06 - 38 of 55

Neutral (Short term) - Jan 13, 2004
Has risen 262% since the bottom on 25 Nov 2003 at 0.65. Has broken the rising trend up, which indicates an even stronger rising rate. The stock has support at p 0.94. Poor liquidity (traded 100% of the days, mean 5.04 mill per day) weakens the analysis.

bosley - 14 Jan 2004 15:15 - 39 of 55

long term holder of this share (7.5p) had a long wait to see it starting to come good .glad to see it finally start to rise . could never figure out why it was so long unnoticed as it never made huge losses and always seemed to be a focused company with definate plans and ideas . good for the long term i think . now its making profit maybe the rising share price wil help it make further aquisitions.

jules99 - 21 Jan 2004 02:52 - 44 of 55

To think I didn't see this Thread..

I just came back from Hols I guess there's a lot of new new posters here as wel now...hello all Im Jules99..!!!

Chelford is a great tip must admit...The trend is definately up...

today was an interesting day...It appears MM's were trying to sell stock to bring price down...to entice panicky sellers, and also enabling them to BUY-off at cheap levels hence wide spread furthermore sell off at 25% profit per share.

Chelford fell today by 11% at one point BUT finished the positive up 0.3%!

MM's sleaze balls...If anyone understands demand and appetite for a stock they surely do.

Closed 2p-2.5p, as you said Suehelen could very easily be 4/5p in the next few weeks, more than I'll ever get with a ftse stock from here onwards...risk/reward element is always worth a consideration with penny stocks..

Thw trend is your freind...!

jules99.

jules99 - 22 Jan 2004 08:31 - 45 of 55

after the last couple of days activities, It appears that the profiteering may be done now, so could see the buyers coming back again...

Great news is I found out last nite CHELFORD Group has been tipped as a major Tip for 2004 by a popular Technology Journal this month!

not bad for a 2p share.

Well done to those who got in first...jules99.
