Active Trader: Glad you have signed up to our site and I am sure you will enjoy the free trial which we notice you upgraded to yesterday.
We like giving users the chance of trying our products first before getting their credit cards out , we call it try before you buy because its the paying customers after all who pay our bills. Personally I would rather we have 1000s of paying customers(which we do) than 100,000s of customers not paying, but then we are a bit odd in this arena, we like to try and make money, we like to look after our customers and provide as much uptime as possible!

Well put Bullshare but the viewing of portfolio and tracking list is A class on advfn but here its OUT class, I regret to say. That said there are other features that are a great asset.
As I use the site more I am starting to like the feel of it in general.
Will post further comments in due course.

I am quite satisfied with the overall offering here. The only bit that doesn't work properly for me is that I cannot get the RNS notices to display. Strange, as the AFX part of that system is OK.

55011,
What happens when you try to access an RNS news story.

The standard windows/internet explorer error message saying ....unable to access page.... appears. This is when using Windows 95.
Using XP on another machine this morning it is OK, but then I tried to use the Terminal window for the first time. Whereupon I got four screens, including chart, trades, portfolio and it then froze. Getting rid of it also got rid of all my other open explorer windows in one go!

5011,
It sounds like something strange is happening as there is no way that a web page should be able to do that - I would advise you to run a windows update on both of your machines to make sure that they are fully up to date with all the patches,
Regards
Ian

I much prefer it here generally but I do have to say the charts (particularly candlesticks and volume) at the other place are sooo much nicer to look at and more detailed and clear. I find I cannot say any of that about the MAM charts. Sorry and all that!

Ian T (Money AM),
Thanks. Noted.
Just tried to access an RNS announcement, and yet again got:-
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
At a loss as to what settings might need altering. Everything else works OK, with the streaming prices and all that, so it cannot be that my system is too far gone (yet....).

55011,
Can you try several refreshes on the item in question and let me know what happens.
Could you also let me know what RNS story this is so that I can see if I can reproduce the problem?
Thanks
Ian

Bullshare
Sorry mate - you sound "sour" (cheap shot ??). As you obviuously know - I have not used any of my free usage of this site - like all others.
100,000's of ADVFN members ... "not paying" .. mmmmhhh .... (one word .... advertising).
Not taken up my FREE MoneyAM membership .... ummmmm NO ... sorry but this is just not good enough and although you try to hammer ADVFN - it is a better site. (Sorry but you and every reader ....... know it is)
Cheap shot ..... But they need the competition .. although you are probably now on your last legs I really do hope you keep on going. I really do.
