In the past Ive never liked this electronic flat speaker company as its always been a jam tomorrow story, a would be blue skyer with plenty of froth on the top with a management who have failed miserably in my opinion. Ive even shorted it and made a few bob out of it but very recently I have done a 'u' turn on the company and have gone long, the reasons being that the company have a new MD in place and the guy appears to be getting his team pulling together and gone are the silly corporate mistakes of the past.
Its recently won its first mass production license with Toyota who are forecast to become the biggest car manufacturer in the world overtaking GM.
Today it as given out a very Bullish statement after the recent CES trade fair and the share price as reacted strongly to the news in the last half hour.
I beleive its worth having a punt up to the results as in the past they have usually moved up around 30% to the interims in late february. At the interims its then a case of waying up future development forward.
DYOR.

well I bought this stock at about 250p in1998, watched it go to 27 and then sold it at the 250p level in 2001.
At last it seems to have broken through and as long as the cash can hold up this could be going back to 27 - no in my dreams

TDK strengthens multimedia speaker range with latest NXT-based model
24 Jan 2006
TDK has unveiled a new model in its range of flat panel loudspeaker systems based on NXT's SurfaceSound technology. The SP-XA80 Flat Panel 2.1ch multimedia speaker system is the latest in a long line of successful NXT-enabled products from the innovative consumer electronics company.
Since launching its first NXT-based speakers in 2001, TDK has introduced successive multimedia systems utilising flat panel satellite speakers enabling it to continually differentiate its range of products. The SP-XA80 joins the SP-XA60 2.1 system (launched last year) in TDK's latest range of multimedia speaker systems and looks set to underline TDK's reputation for leading-edge products in this highly competitive market sector.
The SP-XA80 combines exceptional acoustic performance with stylish good looks resulting in an outstanding overall package. With a total output power of 34 W, the NXT-based satellite speakers produce clear, room-filling sound supported by deep, powerful low frequencies from the compact bass reflex subwoofer. The system is ideal for use with TVs, desktop PCs, laptops and portable digital devices such as MP3 players.
The compact size of the system makes it a space saving solution ideal for the demands of modern living. The subwoofer can be orientated horizontally or vertically and is small enough to hide whilst being smart enough to show. Easy to set up and simple to operate, a remote control and sensor adds to the convenience and flexibility of use. Other features include stereo mini jack and two RCA inputs, and remote control of volume, balance and input.
The TDK SP-XA80 goes on sale in Japan from 10 February.

RSI looks oversoldish, interims out next month with very conservative figures to beat, more and more news of licenses and consultancy fees hitting the news each day.

I thought Shares mag were bearish. Not now
"NXT makes noise with second Toyota order
A second order from Toyota within two
months should give shareholders in flat
panel speaker maker NXT (NTX)
something to shout about after a difficult
2005.
NXT's shares rebounded from a year low
of 48p to the current 63p just before
Christmas when Toyota announced plans
to use a roof liner sound system equipped
with NXT in its FJ Cruiser sports utility
vehicle. The Japanese company has now
announced it will also fit out its new
Estima minivan with the same kit. Both
cars will be available from March.
Last year NXT chalked-up heavy losses,
forcing a boardroom reshuffle and the
launch of a major cost reduction
programme. Yet the company is still not
expected to break-even until at least
2007.
However, the balance sheet remains in
robust shape and companies such as chip
designer ARM Holdings (ARM) have
proved the licensing and royalty model
that NXT is pursuing can be very
profitable once a large enough base of
customers has been built.
