Goin' down! New guy is not popular and doesn't have confidence of the market. I think they will have to look for someone more competent as Osorio is out for at least 6 months. Trading opportunities, but not really a hold at present, imo.

Interims next Tuesday could be quite pivotal.

I think the next person cannot do worst, can he.
If the market doesn't like him, he should be doing something good for the company rather than short term players.

Tim Tookey the CFO (who is supposed to be leaving) is going to be asked to stay on to manage LLOY until AHO gets back. So the guy who was already leaving is now running the show. The point I was making - For whatever reason TT is unsuitable and was moving on hasn't changed. Is he therefore the best person to run LLOY?

We all know the best does not exist in the world. Risky person is good for he time taking risk is good. Conservative for conservative times. So he might be good for specific time and bad for another time.

He is certainly the best person in terms of being familiar with the system, so there is positive side (one best for him).

Lloyds will do better given the crises in the EU. It will rapidly gain market share out of other players in France and Germany.

CEO takes an extended 'sickie' for a few months and the best plan the board can come up to fill the now vacant position, is to upgrade the Finance Director, who is just about to leave.

Looks like a really good example of 'crisis management' to me.

But there again.....if Greece goes bust and leaves the Euro zone.....and Lloyds don't have any risk to any of the banks that will lose money in the Greece fiasco.....then it could be a buy.....
