Is that 12pm in the morning or the evening?

MightyMicro - 05 Dec 2003 00:42 - 3108 of 23498

snoball -- it can't be morning as it's Post Meridiam (after noon). The other one is 12am -- Ante Meridiam (before noon). It could also mean Phase Modulation, but the concept of phase modulated time hurts my brain so I think I'll get out of here before I incur any more damage . . .

stockbunny - 05 Dec 2003 10:21 - 3109 of 23498

Well as I can't attend the other Christmas lunch today
put me down for lunch in the tea-rooms...except if you don't
mind I'll have a sniff round the fridge first to see if
there's anything else apart from cabbage......

((See there isn't....))

Ok I'm off to tesco be back shortly....

snoball - 05 Dec 2003 12:59 - 3110 of 23498

MM, how can 12pm be post meridian. 12 noon IS the meridian. So is 12 midnight.
I like the idea of Phase Modulation as long as I don't have to find out what it means. As I am mostly out of phase perhaps it should be Phase Moderation. There again, Post Mortem should solve the problem altogether.

Peace, y'all.

zarif - 05 Dec 2003 14:09 - 3111 of 23498

Put some goodies in the 'fridge' guys - a selection of cheeses,
some cold meats, salad and some rather nice looking lobster and
salmon. Fresh bread & crisp bread & savoury bics. on the counter, so its a
make your own lunch up scenario.Red and white wine open...

Headline says share trading is thin...
Shows the amazing influence of the combined trading wizards
on both the moneyam BB's - most out for Christmas lunch and the
whole trading world stalls....(lol)

snoball - 05 Dec 2003 14:42 - 3113 of 23498

Thanks for the grub sb. I'll just squeeze some of that white out of its bottle and grab a handful of brad 'n' cheese and some salad and some salmon and...

This_is_me - 05 Dec 2003 20:16 - 3119 of 23498

How do you enjoy all that great food and not put on the weight at Christmas?

snoball - 05 Dec 2003 21:05 - 3120 of 23498

I don't, This_is_me. Not enjoy the food, I mean.

Socrates - 05 Dec 2003 22:30 - 3121 of 23498

Zarif
You really must get yourself some glasses. That lay on the roof is the figurehead off my yacht, I stuck it up there whilst I'm painting it.

Since the sun is over the yardarm it must be time to break out the ready use sherry trifle.

Socrates - 06 Dec 2003 07:38 - 3122 of 23498

What shall I do, "her indoors" has gorn orf to the big smoke today and left me all alone? Oh well, I suppose I could start the day with a hearty breakfast and then perhaps find something interesting to do, perhaps I could have a nap. It's beginning to sound better already. I know, I'll get all my favourite videos out, the ones she doesn't like.

little willie - 06 Dec 2003 10:43 - 3123 of 23498

Socs..I'm in the same boat as you, mrs.lw gorn to uk for 2 weeks, freedom but what to do.
Thought about holding a 'rave' but guess most folk don't want to jive to Buddy Holly, Big 'O', Everleys & Diamond. For a time he REALLY was a girls best friend!!
So, I've spent morning reading and the pm will be on the golf course.

People here are smashing, really friendly; words gone around the Golf Estate
that I'm on my lonesome and dinner invites are coming in nicely preventing the need for preparation, cooking and cleaning up. Instead its out to some of my favourite restaurants and all for 'free', THUS proving there is such a thing as a free dinner, if not a lunch!

Tonight I'm at a neighbours for a big ruby murray, luvly jumbly!!

I'm intrigued to know the titles of the videos;
expect they're The Dam Busters, Reach for the Sky, Sink the Bismark,
Dolores Bares All et al???

Make sure the curtains are drawn and front & back door locked...lol..

little willie - 06 Dec 2003 10:47 - 3124 of 23498

GD..Who is the girl in the blue underwear and black stilleto's on the header? Is it vasey, lw, hils or snoball; if it's a need to know thing fair enough, both Socs and I need to know!!!! and URGENTLY.
Is she capable of being 'blown up?'

Socrates - 06 Dec 2003 11:11 - 3125 of 23498

little willie
2 out of four, not bad. You missed Battle of the River Plate and Battle of Britain. I have a few reserves too, mostly comedy of one sort or another.

snoball - 06 Dec 2003 16:15 - 3126 of 23498

OI!!
little willie! I'm not a girl!
