Birmingham Pie and a Pint

Fred1new - 31 Oct 2004 17:08

Any punters living in Birmingham Area interested in a Pie, Pint and jaw, one evening in a pub in Birmingham area.
Personally interested in small time investing(gambling), developing an appetite for CFDs. Also developing an interest in Charting or TA.

I use Sharescope, Moneyam, Barclays, Comdirect and IC

Is it time to try to resurrect the Pie and Pint?

For many, this week has been to say the least disturbing, share prices mainly dropping a few standing still and even fewer ascending the price race.

How did you fare?

Some of us relied on Stop losses. Some just sold when they could and hoped to buy back at a lower price. Some crossed their legs and went to the pub.

Stan and myself are hoping to meet up this Saturday morning (March 10th 2007) at about at 11am, at:-

The Old Joint Stock (Pub)
(Temple Row opposite the Birmingham Cathedrals entrance.)

Any views or topics, even hot tips open for discussion.

Stan, I think every body has lost to much last week and can't put their hands in their pockets to buy us a drink.

Looking that way isn't It, still might get a late rush -):

Fred1new - 08 Mar 2007 20:21 - 316 of 1427

Stan, if you offered them free beer, do you think there would be any takers?

Stan - 08 Mar 2007 23:48 - 317 of 1427

Stan, hope you arrived home OK. Interesting chat. Didn't realise what time it was when we left. May give you a bell to-morrow.

Stan - 11 Mar 2007 16:45 - 323 of 1427

Yes, well worth the effort and time did fly didn't It?

I thought the new venue was good as well.

Fred1new - 16 Mar 2007 13:37 - 324 of 1427

Anybody seen my pie?

Stan - 16 Mar 2007 14:42 - 325 of 1427

.....No but just enjoyed a rather nice pork pie here for lunch.

BIFF going In the right direction I see Fred.

Fred1new - 16 Mar 2007 15:30 - 326 of 1427

Stan, Wish I was.

Not to bad, hoping AV. and DRX may drop a little more to hit my trigger as I sold the latter earlier at 739.5.

Still expect it to drop a little more.

Not sure if you have read that BIFF has been touted as a possible taker over.

Stan - 16 Mar 2007 15:50 - 327 of 1427

The takeover talk seems to have been around on BIFFA ever since the spin off of STW.

My record for picking companies that get taken over Is not that good but hope that this one Is an exception.

Fred1new - 16 Mar 2007 17:20 - 328 of 1427

Luckily, I bought before the hype on reading of Fundies.

Have a good weekend.

Hi, Fred & Stan... Are you still reading this thread...?
If so, a quick question: Are there likely to be any more Saturday 'morning' meet-ups...?

Fred1new - 13 May 2007 19:26 - 330 of 1427

Not sure.

Stan and I are hoping to meet up on a Wednesday, but at the moment Stan is preoccupied.

I think both of us would like to have further meeting and I see no difficulties with Saturday mornings.

If it was a Wednesday meeting time would be about 5pm.

I am not sure if this is any good to you.
