THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Romania to release prisoners early if they leave the country

TANKER - 16 Oct 2013 12:14 - 31133 of 81564

growing number of people coming back to home to find it as been taken over by
immigrants soon it will be to risky to go to work to come home to find immigrants
living in your home

you may say rubbish but not when it happens to you

Fred1new - 16 Oct 2013 12:33 - 31134 of 81564

Tanker,

"vote UKIP lets get out"

I would be delighted if UKIP leaves the country taking some of the right wing "tory riff raff" with them.

Preferably, after they have joined the BNP and voted for UKIP.

Mind after the next election with a labour - lib coalition government in place many of the bankers and city barrow boys will flee the country.

Haystack - 16 Oct 2013 12:39 - 31135 of 81564

Unlikely. Labour have always cosied up to the bankers even more than the Conservatives.

TANKER - 16 Oct 2013 12:46 - 31136 of 81564

fred it is all down to the lab left who fcuked up the uk brainless dimwits

Fred1new - 16 Oct 2013 12:52 - 31137 of 81564

I wouldn't have called the tory party dimwits.

goldfinger - 16 Oct 2013 12:53 - 31138 of 81564

PMQs. labour 10,Tories 0.

Excelent performance from Dennis Skinner pointing out that ATOS are a company that are a shambles.

468 deaths including suicides after their so called assesments of FIT FOR WORK, I D Smith should be sacked.

These people werent the skivers we all hate either. They were disabled poorly people., not the MR and MRS Hurty Back type.

TANKER - 16 Oct 2013 12:54 - 31139 of 81564

gold yes a national disgrace

goldfinger - 16 Oct 2013 13:10 - 31140 of 81564

To be honest TANKER if we went back 20 years or so their would have been national outrage.

This is a terrible situation and one nobody from the government wants to take responsibility for.

To say that a person with eg, terminal cancer is fit for work is a total disgrace, I D Smith should hang his head in shame. ATOS (french company) should be sacked.

Doctors not admin staff should make an assesment on these people and should not leave it to a computer to say a person as so many points etc.etc.

Its a National Disgrace and should be immediatly looked into.

doodlebug4 - 16 Oct 2013 13:20 - 31141 of 81564

goldfinger, you made an absolute twit of yourself on the COMS thread early this morning. Well done.:-)

Haystack - 16 Oct 2013 13:26 - 31142 of 81564

PMQs Conservatives 100 Labour 0

Fred1new - 16 Oct 2013 13:31 - 31143 of 81564

GF,

I agree with you.

IDS is a simpleton and his simple solution appeal to the Alds and tinkers of this country.

The con party and its leadership are seen to be repeating learnt mantras and rhetoric handed down their party HQ.

The public are beginning to yawn at the pronouncements.

There are problems with false claims, but the approaches to the problem by IDS and crew will create more problems than they solve.

=======

I think they will backfire, when the extended families of "claimants" see the "injustices".

Lost another game last night, back to opening analysis.

UMMMMMMMMMM

goldfinger - 16 Oct 2013 13:31 - 31144 of 81564

cynic - 16 Oct 2013 13:34 - 31145 of 81564

on a slightly different subject ......

did anyone watch BBC Breakfast this morning?
there was a slot about visiting health workers for the elderly
one specific company was an absolute disgrace, but their name was not published, so does anyone have any idea who/where that was?

goldfinger - 16 Oct 2013 13:39 - 31146 of 81564

Fred even staunch Tory back bench MPs are now questioning what on earth is going on as local people visit their weekend surgeries.

As you know I give 10 hours per week voulantry on the web giving out information on claims for ESA and JSA,mostly ESA.

I can tell you their is some terrible cases and fraud is now next to nothing those types have been weeded out.

At some point their will be a call for some kind of public enquiry and I hope I d Smith and his cronies get their come uppance.

goldfinger - 16 Oct 2013 13:43 - 31147 of 81564

Sorry Cyners cant help, didnt see it. But my mothers getting to the point where she may need that kind of help. If you find out anymore please let me know. cheers.

Haystack - 16 Oct 2013 13:55 - 31148 of 81564

gf
The public are in the majority of even tighter rules and caps on benefits. Due to previous Labour governments, we now have a benefit culture.

Haystack - 16 Oct 2013 14:01 - 31149 of 81564

Chariots of fire on Channel 4 at the moment. A great film even though it ignores many of the facts and alters others. Putnam was a socialist and couldn't bear to have a Lord winning races so changed the result. Once again the lefties distort history to suit their politics.

cynic - 16 Oct 2013 14:07 - 31150 of 81564

it'll depend where she lives as another company gave exemplary service
the contracts for this health work are awarded by the "local authority", though i'm not entirely sure what that means
apparently some authorities will not pay properly - e.g. insist that 4 x 15 minute visits can be done in an hour; won't pay travel allowance between visits etc etc - but of course there is no compulsion on any company to accept that contract

i'ld guess "local authority" means your local health body rather than the council, and it should not be difficult to find out to whom these contracts have been awarded, and I dare say it should also be possible to discover the detail and more

Home owners will have to separate more recycling, says minister

Home owners will be forced to separate recycled material into more boxes because of new European Union regulations.

By Christopher Hope, Senior Political Correspondent

6:00AM BST 16 Oct 2013

Lord de Mauley, a minister in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, told local authorities that they would be required to follow new EU guidance which requires homes to separate waste more efficiently.

The comments raise fears of further “bin blight” which has seen homes having to cope with an increased proliferation of different bins for their recycling and rubbish.

Many residents have as many as three wheelie bins - one for household rubbish, another for recyclables and a third for garden waste.

However, some have as many as ten bins, bags and boxes to accommodate all their household waste, prompting claims they are an “eyesore”.
